Repairs began quickly, but HomeMaster asked for a $50,000 up-front payment from the insurance company as soon as they started while they were still negotiating total bill with State Farm. The estimate was for 3-6 months to complete repairs. It took 13 months to get back into our house. There are numerous issues with the repairs: some things were never done, some things were repaired very poorly & some repairs have been required on the repairs. Two bathroom showers have had the pans incorrectly installed requiring over $10,000 to repair (damage & replacement of materials used). A portion of the roof was not correctly supported and is sagging. Bannister to upstairs not done to code-spindle too far apart which allows our 2-year-old to put her head between the posts. A furnace in attic was not properly connected to the drain & leaked all over the ceiling ruining down it & the wall behind the kitchen cabinetry. HomeMaster has refused to effect repairs & filed suit demanding full payment. Counter claim has been filed. Please do not use this firm.

"Homemaster has been committed to quality workmanship and great customer service in the Columbus area for nearly 30 years. We are truly sorry that Mr. McCann was dissatisfied with his experience with us. We have made every attempt to resolve all issues and collect payment per our contract and detailed line-item estimate. We secondarily attempted resolution through mediation. We are now awaiting our day in court to attempt collection of the very large amount still due on this account."
