"I just wanted a repair, not a complete new system. I would maybe have bought a whole new replacement gutter system but I couldn't afford a Rolls Royce price even if t it was an excellent product. Over $7000. for 20o feet of gutters and the required downspouts was just way too much for me. Although they were great to offer three year no interest financing it still was over my comfort zone."

"This is my 2nd time using Donnie. Does a great job, even if something isnt exactly what I wanted, does what is needed to correct, so that its what I am looking for. Had a piece of siding replaced on the side of my house, did a good job, sanded, re-stained, and clear coat railings on from porch, everything turned out great. Had some new L shape shelving in my party added, and shelving over my washer and dryer, everything turned out great. Will be using his services again."

"The job went very well. The guys stayed to do finishes I hadn’t thought of, like caulking and sweeping. They are extremely knowledgeable and talented with carpentry, they know building codes and how to deal with structural issues. When the job was over, they talked with me about additional projects we would like to get done. They gained our trust and we will be using them for all future projects big and small."

"I had a specific portion of an aluminum car to be welded. I called five or six shops and got nowhere before I found Dalton. He was extremely communicative and did a great job and offered options all along the way. Highly recommend. You won’t go wrong with him."

Patio Covers questions, answered by experts

On average, awning costs range from $1,400 to $4,400. The low end of the cost range can be around $100 up to $7,500 on the high end. Cost factors include the type of awning, size, and location. Portable awnings are the most affordable and DIY-friendly to install, costing $100 to $400. Larger, motorized awnings tend to be more solidly built, ranging in price from $2,000 to $3,500.

Yes, you can replace just the fabric on an awning without having to replace the entire awning frame and hardware. This process will take a professional about one to two hours. If you want to DIY, it could take longer, especially for large or retractable awnings. Replacing the fabric on an awning can improve the look of your home and help naturally cool your interior and exterior spaces.

If you're handy, it might be worth trying to install retractable awnings yourself. Just keep in mind that motorized retractable awnings require much more know-how, and the risk of something costly going wrong (such as damaging your new awnings) is higher.

Mechanical awnings should be easy to install for the average person with some handyman skills.

Awnings offer a variety of materials to choose from, each of which has its own benefits. Cotton is a lower-cost option that’s also more eco-friendly because it’s made from natural materials, while acrylic-coated polyester and vinyl offer better durability against harsh weather. Fiberglass and metal are also resilient to weather, although metal can be vulnerable to corrosion without protective sealant. Ultimately, you’ll need to consider your climate and your budget in deciding the best material for your awning.

The cheapest material for covering a tennis court is rubber or clay. Rubber needs to be installed over a concrete or asphalt base, however, which can make the project more expensive up-front (but cheaper to resurface over time). Clay courts are among the most affordable, but they aren’t the best to play on and require a lot of maintenance.
