All, It’s my pleasure to recommend Lee Mann, owner of Mann’s Demolition Contractors, for general demolition, grading, tree removal, retention pond reclamation, clearing projects, and much more. Lee has done contract work with Halpern Enterprises Inc. for over 7 years. The work has included, but not limited to, interior demolition of a number of inline spaces, demolition of of over 30 houses and buildings, clearing of several fields preparing for development, built retaining walls, cleared and cleaned up multiple retention ponds, and many additional jobs. He’s basically been our go to guy for challenging projects. On top of paying attention to our budgets, being timely and leaving the areas in a clean professional way, he has done a great job recycling much of the debris, which is very important to us. He and his helper worked very hard and were able to complete the job in a reasonable time despite severe weather that for several days.

We are really happy with the result. Lee sketched out his suggestions after we told him what we wanted and gave us ideas that would not only make more sense in terms of the layout, but that would save us money. Mark and his helper worked for several weeks on this project, and as this is a vacation home, we weren't always around, but they responded to our calls almost immediately. This was a very labor-intensive job, as dirt had to be brought in in wheelbarrow loads, as there was no access to the rear and side yards that was large enough for a Bobcat or larger machinery. They were always asking, as the job progressed, whether what they were doing fit in with what we had envisioned, and were happy to adapt to our wishes. A great job!

The quality of the deck, grow box and retaining wall are very good. I'm getting great vegetables out of the garden! I don't think the tree cutting project really finished up as well as I expected. Although they brought the trees down expertly, Lee had promised to "chunk up" the trees that were cut down so we could make firewood out of them and that didn't get done until I hired someone else this Spring. Overall I'd really recommend Lee and Mark for their building skills and if you're ready to deal with the mess yourself they're precise about bringing the trees down in tight spaces.
