C & C Roofing Repair & Construction

I called him on Tuesday and he arrived on Wednesday at the exact appointment time. He provided me with a reasonable estimate. I told him to go ahead with the work and asked when it would be completed and he said that day. I was surprised since this was the day before Thanksgiving. Sure enough later that day he came back with all the materials and was done within a few hours. He was very professional and cleaned up all the trash and debris before leaving. It has rained several times since then and I have not had any leaks. I am very happy with his quality and pricing.

He came to give a free estimate on the replacement of shingles on entire roof. while on my roof told my husband that he found 1 small leak  I quote "1 shingle and 5 minutes,"misleading my husband to think it would be a cheap easy fix. He was already on my roof for the "free estimate" did the  "repair" which was 1/2 scrap piece of mis-matched architect shingle and 1 nail. It took 5 minutes, no exaggerating, 5 minutes. My husband walked back into the house got the check book, walked back out, and the guy already had his ladder back on the truck and handed my husband a bill for $250.00. If you calculate that, 5 minutes at $250.00 = $3000.00 an hour.
 This happened on Saturday, on Monday I called him and tried to come to a reasonable agreement. He became extremely agitated, screaming,appeared  unstable so I informed him I was going to record the remaining conversation.  Things became more elevated, he then decides he will reimburse me $100.00, but tells me I have to come get it, then refuses to tell me where! So when he hangs up on me for the 3rd time I call my bank and stop payment on the check. I call him back and proceed to inform him that he needs to tell me where to send a check of a reasonable amount, since I had stopped payment. He then goes completely "off" and informs me that my house is QUOTE "AS good as gone " and that he now is going to take my house. At this time I cant help but laugh and inform him that I think he needs Psyhciatric help.  To make a long story short we will be going to court soon. You be your own judge- 1/2 scrap piece of mismatched shingle, 1 nail, 5 minutes work, = $250.00 do you think this is reasonable?? My son is a physician, he doesnt make $3000.00 an hour. Maybe I should have sent him to "roofer school" instead of medical school!
