Our Rheems water heater stopped working. The water heater was still under warranty so we called Rheems and they diagnosed the the problem over the phone and sent us a replacement pilot light assembly. We called Dunwoody Plumber and talked to Mary. She said it would be $150 to come out and replace the part. We agreed and Tom the owner came out the next day and installed the new part. The water heater still didn't work. He then installed some other parts from his truck, a generic gas control thermostat and a generic burner assembly. The water heater worked now. He said the total charge was $650 for his time and the new parts. He asked that we pay him, Tom Connolly directly the $650 instead of the company. We paid him the $650. He said he would reimburse us for the parts $240 if we were to get them from Rheems. We have now received the the gas control thermostat from Rheems. I have called the Dunwoody Plumber 4 times now to get reimbursed and Mary says Tom is too busy to call me back. This business sucks. On top of that it looks like the Dunwoody Plumber repair job is not up to code with an exposed electrical wire outside the water heater.

Tom arrived on time with all the necessary tools. He immediately set to work and took care of one problem after another. He was professional and pleasant throughout. The plumber I had been using before I met Tom had quoted $150 just to reinstall the one bathroom faucet. I'm very glad my friend recommended The Dunwoody Plumber.

I have been very pleased with punctual, professional and fairly priced services. The team is very reliable; they arrive at the time they said they would and do what they said the'd do. The services are priced competitively and fairly . I have not ever felt that we were overcharged or were sold services we did not need.
He has adequate supplies on hand and is resourcefull in fiding repalcement parts for older faucets and fixtures. With repairing older homes it's very important. A couple of other plumbers wanted to cut through the back of the wall to relace a faucett for $480. He managed to find a replacement kit for the old faucet and replaced it for a fraction of other quotes.
Would definitely recommend his services.

Tom, the owner of Zoom, came to our home on three occasions to fix two different problems we were having. The first on Dec 15, 2010 involved a leak in the old drain pipe from our kitchen sink down in the basement. It cost a couple hundred dollars to get it fixed, although the fix never really looked right to start with. The new PVC drain pipe was sloping slightly upwards to connect with the old cast iron drain. Also, Tom simply does not even attempt to clean up the mess that he makes from his work. Little did we know at the time that less than a year later we would be dealing with a bigger failure of this very plumbing work. We were not real happy with the first experience from the standpoint of professionalism, quality or timeliness of the repair and the cost was astronomical. However, we decided to give Tom a second chance.
The second trip was on June 13, 2011 dealing with a completely clogged drain in our upstairs master bathroom. He didn't show up for the appointment, so we had to reschedule and take more time off from work. When he finally showed up he didn't have the proper equipment despite being informed of the problem. After six hours and $656 later, the problem was diagnosed and fixed, although the huge holes in a closet wall and grease, dirt and water stains in the carpet still need to be fixed by us. We were not happy with the results this time either. We figured we were done with Zoom.
In September of 2011 we noticed water covering the floor of our basement. It turns out that the drain pipe installed by Tom had failed and come completely detached from the sink drain. The result was that 100% of the water going down the sink was depositing directly on our basement floor where it was pooling up. By the time we discovered the failure, we had quite a mess on our hands. We called Tom with Zoom back to have him fix his problem. After installing some hangers to fix his admittedly poor and shoddy work he offered to pay for some of the cost to replace the wall board caused by the pipe failure. We declined.
We ultimately hired a different plumber to inspect and further correct Tom's simple drain repair. Not too surprisingly, he found the the pvc pipe was only tenuously and loosely connected to the fittings. Definitely not the quality work we paid for. We should have sent Zoom the bill.

Tom Connolly arrived promptly at 9AM. This affable Irishman completed the installation of the low-flow toilet in about an hour, cleaned up, took the old unit with him and was gone. Toilet works fine and I felt the price was quite fair. Good guy and obviously a professional. I've found myself a plumber!

Tom arrived at the time that had been set up by both of our schedules. He brought the new hot water tank and replaced the old one. He answered all our questions and he is most knowledgeable. He left our basement neat and clean. It was a pleasure to have him do our work. We are now thinking of more projects for him to do! We hope to have him come back real soon.

Tom arrived when he said he would, and went right to work. He replaced 3 toilets with units I ordered from Lowes, made sure everything was working properly and cleaned up before leaving, removing all packing materials and the old toilets. I will for sure call him again for other plumbing needs.

Zoom Plumbing performed a repair of a water heater at a rental property that I own. Tom Connoly (owner) performed the services. He was punctual, pleasant and professional. He went out of his way to find a solution that would work for me. I was so happy with the service that I hired him to also repair the pool pump at my residence.

I called Zoom Plumbing and asked for immediate service. The dispatcher told me the plumber would arrive within 1 hour. We were delighted that he actually arrived within 45 minutes. The plumber was very professional wearing a clean uniform. He showed me the cracked gasket and explained exactly what needed to be done. He was quick and efficient and didn't leave any mess behind. He was very polite from start to finish. A great service experience from Zoom!

His price was reasonable. He did good work, but he was a little slow in completing the job. He went back and did the things that I asked him to do after inspection.

He is honest and tells you what is wrong. He tries to save your money. I don't know anything about plumbing and he could have done lot of expensive work that we wouldn't need; I wouldn't have known. I would use him in future.

Very nice gentleman that owns the company, Tom Connolly. I had received another estimate for $1,400 and we did not tell him that; he gave us the $700 on his own. He finished faster than he said he would. Left everything clean and neat. He came right on time. Cleaned very well after himself.
