Susan is a high energy person who thinks outside the box. She listened attentively to the ambience I wanted to create and then walked through the house in search of re-purposable items that would add to the livingroom.She was spot on and provided me some online websites to purchase my items.

Great! The time really passed quickly. I enjoyed talking with Susan, and appreciated her willingness to help me select budget friendly pieces for my room design. She wasn't pushy and she listened well to my needs.

Susan and I spoke by phone a few days before to set up the appointment. She arrived on time the day of our meeting. We walked through my home and discussed what were some of my goals and colors. Then she proceeded to ( in a matter of seconds!) give me and show me ways to pull it all together: Removing chair rails, repairing the walls, how and where to use spackling, when to use flat and/or satin paints, backsplashes, doing an accent wall, window treatments, lighting, door hardware, wall decorations, etc. I am very excited over the information she gave me and it was an excellent meeting. I would definitely use her again and recommend her.

After I left a voicemail for Susan, she promptly returned my call and set an appointment to meet the very next day. The day of the appointment, she was punctual which to me is among the most important attributes for a professional. Upon meeting, we discussed different paint combinations, accent walls, furniture colors, kitchen cabinets, window treatments and bath accessories. All in 2 hours. I was enlightened after the consultation and came away with more decorating knowledge than ever before. I would recommend her to anybody looking for a crash course in color coordination and design flow.

Excellent! From her prompt arrival to the end of our session the entire time was filled with terrific ideas and do's and don't. I learned plenty from her and it was a fun experience.

Susan was fantastic. The best interior designer I have ever had in my home. She emailed me back promptly and returned phone calls promptly. She arrived on time. I had the best 2 hours with her. I needed help in trying to figure out what to paint my master bedroom to match up with new bedding that I have and how to paint one bedroom and bring other 2 bedrooms together. First thing she wanted to do was walk thru my home and get a feel for my likes. This was an A+ in my book since I have had designers that have tried to force their ideas on me or what is trendy. Susan got a feel for my likes. She picked great colors to go with new bedding. Love the color she picked for my one bedroom. But the best she gave me some really great ides to use things that I have and how to perk them up. Great ideas on how to rearrange my master bedroom and use existing furniture. But the best - I have a double door into master bathroom that just stands out that I really dislike. Her idea of a french door with a curtain was great. Super idea for curtains and when I'm done I'm going to have a mater bedroom and bath that is terrific. The bedroom is one I redoing for my granddaughter. And she is going to love it with the help of Susan's

I purchased a home last year that needs a total makeover. I have started with a kitchen renovation and needed some help to proceed.  Susan was very helpful.  Her ideas are innovative and fresh.   She was honest and let me know when a design I had previously chosen did not work.  In addition, she provided explanations of why certain designs worked and other did not. I felt I had received a interior decoration lesson as well as my home consultation. Although my kitchen is my current project, Susan did not limit her consultation to that one room. She gave my valuable suggestions that did not cost a penny i.e: moving certain furniture pieces to a different room. She let me know I could call her with any questions regarding our discussion and I know I will.

It went very well. She was friendly and easy to talk to. She brought lots of samples of paint and flooring.

Honestly, I am amazed at how much was accomplished in a two hour consultation with Susan.  She was friendly, professional, and has an eye for design that I do not..  She can quickly develop ideas and recommendations that work.  Hiring a professional is not cheap, but the time I will save and the confidence I have in obtaining the right item from the start is invaluable.   When looking at the wallpaper and paint samples I already had for my kids' rooms, she told me what parts of my plan were good and what parts would make the spaces appear smaller.  That honesty is appreciated, and I look forward to working with Susan to create a beautiful and warm home for my family.

Everyone needs a Susan! She's very creative, knowledgeable & tireless. She's the absolute best at making & checking off a list. She always keeps an eye on budget & time. Plus, Susan is the most fun & easy person to work with. I'll never go to anyone else for design services again.

Susan did a great job in the re-do of our house.  We did it in 3 different phases between 1997-2001.  She managed every aspect of it - from the design to the construction to the decorating and furniture selection.  She always finished on time, and under budget.  She was always available and very responsive to our questions and our job was completed on time.  Last year, we hired Susan to do a freshening up of our house and to manage some household repairs.  Again, she was very professional, completed the job on time and was right on budget.  What I like about Susan is her ability to listen to what we want and to give us some great ideas and to see them through.  Every sub contractor she brought in provided great work.

She assesses your things and works with what you have. She uses what you like in her design and does not let her take on things interfere. She makes things not look as old, and did a really good job of bringing fresh design into our older home.

I have been very happy with Susan's ongoing help with all of my design and decorating projects since 2007.  I would highly recommend her for any of your design needs but especially when you need new set of eyes to look at an area that is not really functioning quite the way that you would like.  She has a great way of thinking outside the box to make your space more functional and pleasing to the eye.

Susan is wonderful.  She's extremely personal and really wants to fulfill YOUR vision of what you want your home to be.  Instead of coming in doing what she thinks would look nice she talks to you and finds out what is important to you, follows your budget, and makes it happen.  At Susan's direction we've had several pieces reupholstered for a fraction of what it would have been to buy new and they look amazing.  There are several things she has done in our home that I never would would have thought to do that I love (ie. unique placement of large prints, creating a mirror arrangement, hanging an antique shelf on the wall to use as a glass rack).  It is so worth having a fresh creative set of eyes to come in and make your home look amazing.

Every experience I have had with Design Transitions has been a positive one.  Susan is always upbeat and positive but realistic.  Her friendly but professional attitude is always welcome.

The process was very enjoyable. Susan is very entertaining and full of ideas. She came to my home three times to bring me ideas and see the progress. We went shopping together to select lamps, chandeliers, mirrors and other accent pieces. She guided me on some items that needed to be updated such as mirrors and fabric. The process was a lot of fun and it all came together really well.
