This project was over about a four month period, from October probably until mid-February. I like most of what they did. They had a lot to do from fixing my floor too, but they left some things unfinished. When they did the backsplash in the kitchen I wasn't here; I was gone on a little mini-vacation, and when I come back they said they were gonna come back and finish. Well, they never did. They left some ... the countertop and the tile, left some grout. It started peeling and cracking, and then they didn't finish the tiles on the top of the microwave. Just a couple of things - they didn't finish trimming out the ceiling and the wall, where it meets. For the work that they did do, it turned out good.

Once Big Red Construction got started doing the work, they were excellent. However, getting to the point of construction was a nightmare! The estimator came out to do the estimate then sent their architect. The architect had to come out 3 different times and still did not get the architectural drawings right - she did not measure accurately, therefore all of her drawings were incorrect. The project manager finally came out with the architect and structural engineer to get the measurements and drawings accurate. Once everything was turned in to the city for permitting, it was sent back three times asking for surveys because the architect did not make it clear to the city permitting office that we were only building on top of existing deck, not building new a new deck nor disturbing any land. Big Red Construction kept telling us the city was requiring a land survey and a topographical survey for the project to be permitted. I was the one who finally called the city permitting office to make them understand the scope of our project and get the building permit approved with the information Big Red Construction had originally provided them. That entire process took 5 weeks which was a total waste of time and unnecessary delay in starting out project. Once Big Red Construction got started on our project they were done in approximately 3 weeks and did excellent work. The project manager on site was very knowledgeable and conscientious about every detail. The framers worked hard all day long and did excellent work. The painters took their time caulking every crack before painting. The roofers worked on Saturday and Sunday to keep the project on schedule. All of the workers were very punctual and started work as soon as they arrived each morning and put in a full 8 hour day, and sometimes more. The screen room turned out to be so much more than we expected. We are VERY pleased with the final product.

They were very dependable and they repaired my roof while I was gone. They were punctual and did what they would when they said they would do it. However, I thought that their price was a bit high.

They were very nice. It was just that I had some problems with the contractors that they were using at the time that the roof was put on. They are also going to come out and finish some drywall work. I just have not called them back to tell them that I am going to be available during the week for them to do that. The service that they did was free because it was warranty work. Their professionalism, service and cleanup were very very good. I have read their reviews on Angie's List and they are pretty on the pike because Howard, their general manager, comes out and he is very nice and very personable. He listens and takes care of stuff. I really enjoyed working with him and his people came out and did the stuff. He told them what to do and they did it. They cleaned up after themselves and they did a really good job. I would probably grade my overall experience with them as an 'A-' because of the fact that I did have to have them come back but I am not really afraid to call them to come back because they take responsibility for what their company did to begin with. Their price was right in line with what everybody else is charging. The quality of their work is really good except for the fact that I had to have a couple of sections redone.

Howard, the sales rep is amazing. He has been the most honest contractor I have dealt with. He bids the jobs right and actually pulls the right measurements to give the most honest price. Out of ten roofers he was the cheapest but the only one honest about how many squares I had. Did the job in a few hours and really worked on the price. I would use big red construction for all my home remodel needs and I highly recommend to others.

The damages were caused by a leak in the roof. They were supposed to fix the leak and repair the damages. They repaired the damages, but did not fix the leak, so all of the damages re-occured wihin a year.
When they came out, they told us that the leak was coming from a new area of the roof, even though all of the damages were in the exact same areas.
They then sent us a letter with a copy to their attorneys denying any responsibility. We are in the process of taking legal action.
We would not recommend them to anyone.

I saw a previous negative rating from a consumer for Big Red Construction and don't understand how anyone in their right mind could rate Big Red Construction an 'F'. I've used many contractors of the years with the different houses I've owned, and never had a better experience than the one I had with Big Red Construction.
First, on the day of my roof leak, Lenny (Company Owner) responded to my house with his team to put a tarp up to prevent additional water from leaking into my house. Lenny did a great job explaining the process and let me know to contact him if I needed any additional help.
I contacted Big Red Construction to get estimates to repair all of the damages. Alex was a great Project Manager and was always quick to respond to my questions. Alex worked very well with Statefarm and made it a seamless process for me as the claim went through the process.
Once we agreed upon a start date for the work, Big Red Construction showed up on time and was very professional on how they handled all of the contents of the house that had to be moved out during the work. Dale and his crew were great to work with during the whole process.
The final results were amazing. I would have never thought that my hardwood floors could have looked so good. People who have come over to my house have been amazed with the results. I have since recommended Big Red Construction to another friend who had fire damage in their house.
BOTTOM LINE - I fully recommend Big Red Construction. Their customer service, attention to detail and final results are all reasons that I would recommend that company for any home improvement needs that you have.

All of the work was done horribly. All of the work has to be re-done. They caused other damage to my carport. Some of the work they were supposed to do, they charged me for but didn't do. They painted over damaged areas, and tried to charge me. They installed the flat roof incorrectly which caused continued leaking. The leaking caused the baseboard in the sunroom to have to be replaced. They took the gutters off of my home and never put up new ones. They sued me because I didn't pay them upon completion. I said I wouldn't pay them until the work was completed correctly. Then I counter sued them and ended up winning. One thing I found out in going to court was that there was a person that was working on my home who had a criminal record. From my experience, they came in and tried to do shoddy work and get paid asap. It became a very volatile situation. There was another claim from Big Red that said we assaulted them physically, verbally, and damaged their property which was proved to be without merit in court as well. Clearly, I would never recommend them to step foot on someone else's residence.

"Homeowner hired Big Red Construction to complete a small repair per his insurance company’s scope – yet, he demanded additional work to be included and did not pay for the completed work. Big Red Construction proceeded with collections as a result of which LIEN was filed against homeowner’s property and CLAIM was filed for the outstanding balance on this account. Big Red Construction received a JUDGMENT against homeowner. Copy of JUDGEMENT & copy of homeowner’s check to BRC is available upon request. Fulton County CASE#11MS138816 is a matter of public record. Homeowner did not win and paid per JUDGEMENT. Furthermore, BRC uses www.hirease.com to screen all of its employees and sub-contractors. Homeowners statement that someone at BRC has a criminal record is false. Homeowner was very abusive to the Big Red Construction’s employees to the extent of using racial slurs and other abusive language. This job was a referral from couple of homeowner’s friends/acquaintances who were extremely satisfied with Big Red Construction. They did a very satisfactory job. Part of my roof is flat and I had it done previously about 6-7 years earlier and that company did a bad job. Consequently it caused rotting and raccoons were getting into the partial attic. Big Red Construction came in and showed me everything with pictures. They brought in different groups who could repair the soffit where the raccoons had gotten in. They fixed it and they did a great job. They cleaned up after themselves very well.

They did a great job. They also cleaned up well and left nothing behind. The manager was fantastic. He recommended some things that were just great. He was very thorough and actually listened to me very well. He was great! I shopped around and his price was the best. He almost beat everyone by around $1,500. He visited the job site every day and followed up well. He did a good job.

Overall, the process went well. The workers were responsive when I had questions and Howard was always available. When the job was completed, I was dissatisfied with how the corking looked. Howard responded quickly and was able to make corking look much better. Howard was very professional and seemed very knowledgeable. My neighbors were impressed with how quick and how neat the workers were.

They were very good. They did a job that was covered by the insurance company. They coordinated well with the insurance company. They also went above and beyond what they had to do. They did the best job with the best equipment. They cleaned up well. I had other roofing experiences around the same time and they were the best. I did not have any problems with them. I have recommended them to my daughters. I will definitely use them again in the future.

It went very well. I contacted Big Red, they helped me work through the process with the insurance company to make sure everything was repaired thoroughly, and got onto the job extremely quickly. The house looks great. Dale was very professional and responsive, and he brought out the owner and the head woodworker and painter to see the house and meet me before submitting a final estimate. The job was done on time and in two days. They also cleaned up well afterwards.

They were on time. They did a good job with the roofing, and they did it fast. The interior work was done less fast. Their price was fine and it was paid for by the insurance company. Everything worked out fine. They were excellent overall. I would recommend them to others.

The sales person Dale was professional, on time, and right on with the estimate. Dale was recommended to me from my insurance company. His crew lead by Israel finished the job in one day. They used a magnetic tool to remove all nails from my lawn. -important with children and pets. Before the project began the crew removed and covered everything around the house to keep in good condition. When the roof was completed, the crew without asking blew all areas with a blower, picked up all removed material, and put all items back into place. A new roof without ever knowing they were here with all the clean up. Great goup, on time, and great quality work at a fair price. They even patched a few areas in my detached garage with extra shingles left with no extra charge. All work was certified and completed earlier than planned. Cost was exactly as estimated.

A large Big Red crew showed up early and worked simultaneously on both roofs, finishing and cleanig up that afternoon. I have had roofs put on several rental units over the years. This job was outstanding in all respects.

I just had Big Red Construction Inc. to install a brand new roof to my home. From the very beginning I knew I choose the right company to do the work. First, when I met the salesperson Dale he explained me what they are going to do with my roof. Big Red Construction was professional and courteous. They arrived on time. The crews that came were great they got right to work, and when the job was completed they cleaned up all the debris and nails to the point you would never have known they were here. I am extremely pleased with my new roof and recommend Big Red Construction to anyone out there who is looking for roof work.
