Called the company, used one of their Half Price Coupons on Angies list; confirmed the appointment day and time, and everything went as planed.

They were too expensive so I didn't use them or anybody else yet. They went around and looked, measured an all that and said that it will be a little over $4000. It was their pricing that mainly made me not to go with them.

I called Sun Plumbing on a Friday afternoon and left a message that I had a leaking toilet that needed a ring replacement. Leaving a message these days sometimes means waiting for a day or two for a call back, so I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call approximately two hours later. Because the leak was not bad we set an appointment to have Ketchum come and repair it on Monday at 10am. Now, I have lived in Georgia for the past six years and seldom does anyone show up on time, but Ketchum did. He and his helper pulled the toilet they discovered the flange was roughly ¼ inch above the level of the floor. They then proceeded to shorten the pipe, replace the flange, install a new wax ring, and reinstalled my toilet. This toilet has had its wax ring replaced three times in the last four years and never did anyone mention the problem with the raised flange. I highly recommend Sun Plumbing for any plumbing needs.

I called the company the day before and received a call-back almost immediately after leaving a voicemail message. I spoke with the owner, Ketchum. He was very helpful and clear on the phone about how the work would be done in two steps (evaluation/testing and then repair) and about his billing rate of $65/hour, including transit time (about 15 minutes away). By comparison, two other contractors I called in Columbus never even bothered to return my voicemail messages. We scheduled the work to be done the next day at 9 AM. Two young men appeared at 8:55 AM and spent 5+ hours fixing the system, including setting the automatic sprinkling schedule. The were very cordial and professional. The charges were $65/hr total for both of the men for 6 hours plus $75 for parts. I considered the charges to be quite fair. I would recommend Sun Plumbing highly for lawn sprinkler repair.
