His was the only ad in the Yellow Pages to include the personal name of the owner. After my call he came out promptly and gave an estimate, which I considered a good price. He said he was very busy and it might be ten days or so. A week later I called him back, and he immediately set up a date.
He had a crew of five, and they skillfully took down a large hundred-year-old oak tree in a fairly tight spot next to our house. There were no accidents, though one of their trucks did crack a piece of marble we had over a drain hole. We have others and can replace it, but he did not offer any recompense. They cleaned up well and hauled away all the wood. I was quite satisfied.
