STEWART'S PROFESSIONAL TREE SV

They are very good. They're an excellent company. They left my yard spotless. They hand carried everything out. I used another tree service another time and they left the place a mess, but Stewart's is great.

Showed up as promised and performed work as quoted

The person doing the actual work in the trees, sawing, was skillful and did a good job.  The crew on the ground worked unsafely, were inattentive, and had no regard for themselves or our property.  Several items were damaged after the first day (pool light, pavers, planters, a section of fencing around my pool pumps, etc.).  The owner was offended when my wife presented him with a list of things damaged during the first day.  He was rude and unprofessional to my wife.  When I spoke with him, his manner was much the same.  His initial response was that we were out of line to point out the damage that was done after only the first day as they were not finished with the job.  He initially conveyed that he would simply pull his crew.  He let me know that "most home owners were crazy" and he didn't need our business.  He complained that the job was misquoted and that he would most likely fire his estimator.  As a side, his was the middle of the 3 bids ($600 greater than the lowest bid and $100 less than the highest).  Although the monetary value of the damage was small, I felt a need to intervene before something more significant occurred or someone was injured.  I chose to continue the job with closer contact with the guys doing the work rather than go through the hassle of bringing in a new contractor in the middle of the job and getting into a protracted dispute over payment with the first.  The owner did make us whole for the items damaged that were reported to him.  The crews did slow down and exercise more caution after the first day. 
In my opinion, neither the owner nor the crew demonstrated any respect for my family or my property.  I would not knowingly invite anyone to perform any service on my property and in contact with my family with this attitude.
