About us

ServiceMaster of Cobb began serving Cobb County in 1996 and has since expeande to serve most Northwest Georgia counties. Owner Bill Barbee has been in the restoration and cleaning business for over 30 years. He has worked in the industry from the age of 14 and has performed all phases of insurance repair, mitigation and reconstruction. Bill started his first company in 1983 doing construction restoration work. Since 1996 when Bill started with ServiceMaster he has grown into one of the largest franchise businesses in the country. In 2003 he spun off a carpet cleaning division into a separate company that specializes in high end commercial carpet cleaning and maintenance. In 2004 ServiceMaster of Cobb started a division that travels to regional and national catastrophic events to assist with the cleanup. ServiceMaster of Cobb operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year restoring homes and businesses.

Final invoice came in 50 percent more than original bid with no communication with home owner on price changes for alleged additional labor requirements or material cost up charges. Service Master of Cobb was extremely offended when I informed them they needed my approval before spending $$ on my project outside the original estimate. I did not approve or pay their up charges. They wouldn't pay their sub contractors, refused to finish half completed work or punch list items for sloppy work. I was harassed by their sub contractors , only to find out the sub-contracter gave bids that were higher than the estimate that was given to me, and were contracted for the jobs anyway, assuming the costs would be passed to me without asking me first. Horrible experience. Horrible project management. Really unskilled, sloppy workers. Left my house a complete mess every day they showed up. Predatory price practices. DO NOT USE.
