Green Acres Pool Place

Unfortunately, the owner gave me a jig/base for a 6' diving board along with instructions to install 27" from the edge of the pool. Unfortunately, I had to pay the crew that installed my patio and jig/base another $600 to pull the 6' jig/base out and install the 8' jig/base at the appropriate distance from the edge of the pool (27' is too close to the slope from the shallow end to the deep end for an 8' board). He would not take responsibility for his mistake, but, blamed me instead. It's hard for me to imagine that it could be my fault when he is the one that handed me the 6' jig instead of the 8' jig. He also said that he could not give be a refund because he didn't have enough markup on the diving board. I sent him a certified letter asking for the $600 because phone calls were not working and generally ended with him yelling at me and talking down to me (again, hard to imagine). The certified letter did not work. I took him to small claims court and won. He still will not pay me. I will never again trust the safety of my family and friends to a man that seemingly cares nothing about his mistakes or the safety of anyone that uses my pool. He seems to only care about the money.
