We were in the market to replace the carpeting in our 2,800 square foot home. After receiving an estimate from another company (out of my area) that I felt was too high, I decided to get another estimate. I contacted Spectrum Floor Designs because they were local and had a high rating from a neighbor in my area.
The owner, Scott, came to my home, measured and gave me the estimate. It was $1300 less than the previous estimate from another company. Scott was prompt, professional and friendly. We decided to buy our carpet from him.
The installation to 1.5 work days. Scott and his team did a great job. They were neat, clean, friendly, professional and prompt.
I would absolutely purchase any other flooring products that I would need in the future from Scott and Spectrum Flooring. I highly recommend them without reservation.

In preparation of having the flooring replaced in my house, I contacted three different companies for estimates. One of the companies I found on Angie's List, one company was from a personall referral and one was and quot;very advertised on TV.and quot; After meeting with these companies, I decided on Spectrum Floor Designs (the personal referral). This decision was based on my initial consultation with Scott Wallace (owner) as well as the cost. Scott arrived at our consultation (on time) and spent a lot of time explaining to me the installation process as well as the pros and cons of wood laminate flooring. As I had never shopped for this type of flooring, Scott was very helpful in assisting me with selecting the flooring that best fit my and quot;wantsand quot; and lifestyle. He did not pressure me into buying products through his company (unlike the other companies) and actually encouraged me to shop the flooring showrooms so I could get a better idea of what color and finish I wanted. Once I picked out the flooring I wanted, I gave Scott all of the information and he went to the flooring showroom and purchased it. The removal of my old flooring (tile, hardwoods and carpet) and the installation of the new flooring took one and a half days (a half day sooner than estimated). Scott and his crew arrived on time both days and worked diligently the entire time they were there. In addition, they cleaned up all of their tools and materials the first night and even cleaned the portion of the floors they had installed -- even though they were going to get dirty again during the final day of installation. After the flooring (and new shoe molding) was installed, Spectrum re-painted my existing foot molding with paint I had purchased. This is the only company that offered this option and it was well worth it. Scott and his crew moved all of my furniture out for the installation and back in when finished. Scott and his crew were very professional and friendly and very easy to work with. Scott is the first contractor I have ever let work in my house when I was not there. I felt very comfortable leaving my house for several hours on both days while they were working. Scott continually updated me on the installation progress and delivered as promised. Needless to say, I love my new floors! Spectrum is also going to do the carpet installation upstairs. Although Spectrum had the best pricing, I chose them because of how thorough and Scott was with me during our first consultation. I would recommend Scott Wallace and Spectrum Floor Designs for any type of flooring installation.
