Having been a Premier Indoor Comfort Systems customer for over 10 years, they used to be an honorable company. I can no longer recommend Premier as an honest HVAC company. The short version - Premier came out to perform our summer inspection. One of our HVAC systems could not maintain cooling. Premier claimed we needed them to perform over $2300 of "cleaning" services to restore the function of the A/C system. Their work order noted that they did not check the refrigerant level of the system - a service they advertise on their web site as part of the bi-annual inspection. Not wanting to spend over $2300 on an older system, I contacted another HVAC company for a 2nd opinion. The 2nd company performed the same service, observed that unit was over 2 lbs low on refrigerant, added refrigerant to the system, and restored the system to service for $ 349. I left (2) messages for the service manager Mark Harman and (1) for John Stezzi (business). They failed to return my calls.

heI want to sit up in the house cold like i might doze. We are walking around here with our coats on the hat, on my son, take the thing off his bed, the comfort that goes on the bed, a comfort like a fraid but thicker than spread. And that’s what he was standing up there up there wrapped up, had a comfort wrapped all around his shoulder and stuff with the school cap on and I got my jacket and all them, put it over Oh on like im going out those or something. It keeps a lot of noise and noise. It’s scary because you know, you’re not expecting. He came up with some kind of reason why it makes the noise but nobody knows the real reason he keeps the noise. I just wanna stop all the noise and put it out properly. I wouldn't recommend him to anybody.

It was $630 for one hour repair. It got pretty contentious between my husband and the office person because we felt that was too high for one hour of work. We never heard anything. I called last week and said we still had the bill and we thought it was fair to pay half and the office manager agreed. She totally agreed with us because we have been loyal customers for years. It was the ultimate customer service.

We have been experiencing power issues with our air conditioning unit over the course of the past ten days, resulting in several tripped breakers and a blown fuse. After two visits by a Premier Indoor technician, no actual work was done to address the capacitor of the air conditioner itself. Instead, a $13 part was installed, which was subsequently priced by a technician at $190. Realistically, a company shouldn't try to patch holes and charge multiple hundreds of dollars in lieu of fixing the underlying problem, especially when the air conditioning unit is still under warranty. We had used this company before and were not 100% thrilled with their pricing, but they were very reliable, at the least. We intend on finding service elsewhere for our next maintenance.

Very well. They performed the service as expected and did not try to gouge me. I was selling the house so I appreciated that. Seemed very reliable and honest. I would definitely call them again.

My experience turned out well. They had to come back and redo part of the system, but they did it without any problems at all. The initial guy that scoped out the system could have been better, but he is no longer with the company.

This company had installed our geothermal system a few years back. And the experience has been good. So we had talked to them about a whole house steam humidifier and the price on Angies List was really good and we purchased it.
It did not go well to start. The person we had requested had an emergency so they sent other people. They should have called us and told us this before they showed up.
These people showed up with a DEhumidifier -- not a humidifier. Fortunately my husband realized their error and we agreed to have then go back and get the correct item and install it. The supervisor assurred us they knew what they were doing. These installers were very nice but they tossed all the items with the old unit and DID NOT know how to calibrate the system. Had my husband not gone online to read the manual and have them leave who knows what would have happened. The unit has to sit in the new environment for several hours before calibrating it so there needs to be two trips with this.
So we ended up waiting for the original person to come out the next week and correctly callibrate it and fix it. However it turned out that we had a good manual humidistat that he would have kept and used but instead the original installers threw it out and we have not been able to get it replaced. We were left with the electronic one but if we have a problem with that we have no way to fix it. The manual one is preferred and we had it so I am unhappy that iy was thrown out and they did not give us another when they realized the error. We should never have allowed the people they sent to install the unit.

Another horrible company comes out, rips you off and doesn't care.  They were hired to come change the dampers to our garage for heat in the winter.  It was already set up.  We wanted it on due to burst pipes during the ice storm.  He comes out, charges me $89.00 even though they are in the small town I live in, stays here and there's hardly any communication but he is having trouble finding it.  I finally try to help him and point him to the right direction.  He later comes down and charges me over $200.00 and tells me it's working.
Later on, I'm realizing it is not really working that well, air was barely coming out so I call and I get their afterhours person.  She calls the tech and he tells me, "I'm already in bed." It wasn't that late!!! So, I figure it's just not even worth it to deal with them again and try to get thru the winter.  Now we have a new A/C company to come change the dampers back and they can't figure out what Premier did! So, I call them and ask them to look me up and explain to me what they did.  The girl stumbled around and said she would call me back in a minute.  An hour passed by and I call back and some guy answers the phone.  I said, "Is anyone going to call me back as they are looking for my file or anything?" He yells out, "Is anyone looking for her file?" No response! I go through it all again with him and he tells me he is going to call the tech and call me right back. I say, "Please do as my A/C people are here and they need to know what Darrell did.  Well, we had to give up.  There was no returned phone call.  After 2 days, I'm ticked.  I call and get the after hours person again and she has the tech call me.  Lo and behold, Darrell calls me back and of course he can't remember anything and doesn't offer to come out the next day, take a look or help me in any way. So, I call the office the morning, ticked again and went thru 50 questions to get the owner and all he did was take up for his people and say he would have a talk with them concerning the way they handled my call.  He also blamed me saying, "YOU MUST HAVE CALLED HIM TOO LATE IF HE WAS IN BED" I TOLD HIM MY HUSBAND IS UP AT 3 AND DOESN'T GET HOME UNTIL 7:00 P.M. MY GOD! It was only around 9:00!! He went round and round that the work they he knew they did was some duck work that's it! I don't know why they did duct work!!!! This has been in place for years to just turn them off and on!!!! Totally frustrated, I hung up.  So now, I have to pay someone else to redo the mess this company did that didn't even really work anyway!! Worse than that is their terrible people in the office!!!!!

They were fine. I used them for about 2 years after I purchased the deal because I loved the technician who came out. The person who did the work is no longer with the company and after I was switched to a new technician I was satisfied and switch companies.

We were concerned that our greatly increased Duke Energy bill ($72 in November, $198 in December, $367 in January) might be due to problems with our HVAC system.  The representative from Premier Indoor Systems carefully dismantled the pieces of the system and examined each one for problems.  When he gave the system a "clean bill of health," he also provided some advice on how to continue its maintenance at a high level.  In particular, he showed us how to clean one of the filters that I hadn't known how to access.  His professional and friendly behavior gave us confidence that he really knows his business and is capable of repair if that is needed.
This was the fourth company I called.  Owing to the recent cold weather, one company said that they couldn't come for another week (later in the day they called back to say they could come -- but by then, our service call was completed).  Two other companies, located in Franklin, NC, said they are not accepting new customers in our area (Fontana Lake Estates, Bryson City).  This corporate headquarters of this company is in Marietta, GA, and we were surprised that they would be listed as providing service in the Bryson City area.  However, we learned that the company's owner actually lives in Bryson City and is eager to provide service here.

we were told upon contacting premier exactly when a service tech would be here.  bill borges came and examined our old unit and told us and showed us the problems.  he explained what was wrong and was extremely knowledgeable about what he was talking about.  he let us know our options and what his recommendation was, but left the final decision up to us to decide.  we opted for a new unit as ours was just not worth repairing.  he set up a day and time with us.  this morning he called to assure us that they would be here at the time he set.  two young men that introduced themselves (unfortunately i forgot their names) but they were very friendly but also very professional.  they started working quickly and each knew exactly what they were doing.  bill joined them and he also began working to make sure everything was going well.  they finished ahead of the scheduled time frame that was expected.  he checked everything to insure the unit was in perfect working condition and explained how to work it and assured us that if we needed anything he would be available to us.  steve samson, the supervisor came out before the crew got here to make sure we were ready and see if we needed any further information, he came back out after the job was complete, and he too assured us that we could count on premier for any further advice or help.  this is a very fine company that i will recommend to anyone in our area, i could not have asked for better service.

Wanted to charge me $205 dollars for an $8 part.  Literally pulled the part up on Home Depot, he confirmed that it was the part I needed, but couldn't explain why the price was so high.  i paid 79 for him to tell me something that literally took 2 minutes.  This company is a rip off, do not use their services!  I will reporting them to the BBB.

Purchased their top of the line 21 seer, 2 stage unit.  Ended up with a 13 seer unit, effectively.  Instead of telling me the air handler on the furnace was for a 13 seer, 1 stage system, they installed a relay to make the 21 seer system work with a 13 seer blower.  Many other installation problems and poor engineering.  (they didn't level the huge outside unit, until I noticed it)   They told me I was getting the latest equipment from Lennox with a 100% aluminum coil, but they installed a brass and aluminum coil that had been mfg. several years prior.  Buyer beware.

It was very good. I had a geothermal unit which was a little bit of a unique thing rather than the standard heat pump and they are one of the few people in the area who understand how to handle it. They were able to tune it back for me with no problem.

I called the provider and spoke with Kim.  She was very polite and arranged my appointment time.  Eric the technician/specialist arrived on time as sceduled.  He presented himself as a knowlegeable professional.  He went about inspecting my systems to a degree that has not been done by other firms I have had "tune-up" my system previously.  He advised me on a few items he identified that may have caused issues in the past and could cause in the future and explained how he corrected those items with his tune-up.  I was genuinely impressed with his attention to detail and his willingness to answer my questions and concerns.  I would not hesitate to use Premier (Kim and Eric) again and refer them to my family, friends and neighbors.

I contacted this company to install a Lennox whole-home dehumidifier.  On the sales side, they were very responsive and professional and helped me select the right unit and schedule an install date.  The installation itself was an entirely different matter.  While the installers were courteous and punctual, they were incompetent and/or poorly trained.  I had ordered a ventilation damper and temperature probe with the unit and they did not bring it for the install, so that would require a second trip.  They went ahead and set it up to run without these items, which is possible, but 20 minutes after they left, the unit shut down and the power went out in part of my house.  I discovered that they had powered the unit off of the same 15-amp circuit as one of my HVAC units.  The installation manual for the unit clearly states that it should be on a dedicated 20-amp circuit.  When I discovered this problem (myself), the sales manager indicated that putting it on a shared circuit is "usually OK".  Apparently even though they are a Premium Lennox Authorized Dealer/Installer, they ignore the Lennox instructions, which is unacceptable.  I had to reset the breaker and turn off the dehumidifier myself until the installers returned several days later to wire the power correctly.  After that second visit, the unit stayed on, but I noticed that the humidity level did not drop in the house and the unit seemed to be cycling on and off even though it was set to run continuously.  I had to call back and a day later they sent the service manager, at my request.  He determined that the original installers had not wired the damper at the output of the unit to open when it turned on, so basically it was blocking it's own airflow and shutting off.  I had specifically asked the installers on the first visit what that component was and why they were taping over the power leads for it and they (incorrectly) stated that it was an unnecessary component.  So the service manager, who was very nice, wired that up and also installed the ventilation damper and temperature probe I had previously ordered.  After he left, I decided to read the unit installation manual step by step and make sure everything was set up properly as at this point I had little trust in their knowledge or attention to detail.  I found that 1) even after 3 visits, they had installed the air filter backwards, ignoring the very obvious air flow direction arrow on the side, and 2) had not set the ventilation dip switches properly to take account of the temperature probe and ventilation damper.  I made those adjustments myself.  If I had not been a very detail-oriented engineer, I probably would have never known that the dehumidifier I paid $4,000 for was not set up and working properly.  Even after 3 trips, they did not have it set up properly and the mistakes made were novice errors that no self-respecting Lennox installer should have made.  The people are nice but the quality of work was unacceptable.  In the future, I will install and service HVAC equipment myself or contact another firm.
