Pool Tech

We purchased a home with an in-ground pool with a Jandy system and had never owned a pool before. We had pool school with a different company but found ourselves with numerous more questions as we worked with the pool more - primarily about the Jandy operating system. Pool Tech is an authorized Jandy retailer. Chase came out and spent two hours walking me through the entire system & how it worked and even pointed out some quirks with our pool that other providers had missed. He even suggested I record him (which I did) and have had to refer back to the video several times when working on different aspects of the pool.

Notice the dates on these reviews. BEWARE!!!! WORST EXPERIENCE! I sincerely regret the day I called pooltech. We purchased a $1500 filter from this company two years ago. The filter supposedly has a 5 yr warranty, and has never worked properly from the initial installation. In fact, the initial tech admitted he made some mistakes. Months later our pool was still green. The company would not replace or refund out $$. We missed an entire summer of pool usage. After a great deal of aggravation and countless phone calls they quit trying to blame things on the chemicals. Pool tech eventually replaced some parts and the pump worked ok for a few more months. The owner personally guarenteed he would make things right. My husband believed him. My filter isn't working again. Techs spent 15 minutes looking at pump and refuse to maker this situation correct. Regardless of warranty, this is our problem. They could care less. NEVER purchase anything from this company. They are rude, liars, and crooks! I have had the privilege of using Pool Tech since the installation of our pool over ten years ago.. The staff goes above and beyond, even making extra visits when we are having company so that the pool is always clean and sparkling

They are extremely responsive when an issue may arise with our pool... They come out on a timely basis and if there continues to be an issue, the owner of the company will insure that all your pool needs are met. They sent out weekly emails with each visit and wil also check with owners if everything is satisfactory. I give them an A+ in all areas particularly customer service, which you do not always find in this current market. I would recommend pool tech to all for their maintenance/repair needs.

I use them to service and clean my pool every other week.
I set this up after using them for filter changeout, light installation, and resurfacing.
I found them reasonably priced, professional and very capable.
I recommend them for regular cleaning and system servicing as well as major repairs and installations.
I've been a customer for over 5 years.

We were using another pool company that was little more than a husband and wife, which created real problems in terms of coverage if we had an urgent need.  They put in the Jandy Zodiak iAquaLink system, but the pool company had issues with the install, so they elevated the issue to Jandy, who then sent out Pool Tech, who does the maintenance for Jandy.
I was so impressed with the PoolTech professionalism in fixing the Jandy system, that I terminated the husband and wife team and hired PoolTech to do my weekly maintenance as well.  I think PoolTech has been excellent.  They are not the cheapest option out there, but I think they do a good job, so they are worth it.  My pool has an upper pool, a hot tub and a pretty large main pool, all salt water and they have done well with it, cleaning the upper and lower.
I do wish that PoolTech would be more proactive with some suggestions, perhaps they are concerned about seeming like they are trying to "upsell" me.  For example, my pool has a slide and waterfall that come down from the upper pool.  I didn't realize that those pumps could have been winterized, so that they wouldn't have to run on freeze protection during the winter.  I'd like my service tech to make those recommendations to me, even with a slight upcharge for doing those services.
