Krussell's Tree Service

Contracted this company to clean up two Arborvitae trees. Expectations from our discussion was that they would trim them away from the house and clean up (taper) all sides. They showed up and were gone in 15 minutes after taking twelve small limbs away from the house and no additional clean up. No one checked in to say they were there to work or checked in after completion to see if the work met expectations. When asked why, the response I received was that "if I was home, why didn't I come outside?". The only positive about this experience was they did give a 10% discount to me as a Veteran but that compared to the total bill and work completed are not in alignment.

After Contracting with Krussell's Tree service 3 times over the last 3-4 years, No response to repeated requests this December/January. On first visit first they were exceptional, then each time maybe a little less thorough until this time, three emails, texts and at least one Angie's List quote request, with NO response. Job went to Prime Green Tree removal and because of Adam's promptness and care the Jobe grew from 1.8k to 2.0k -and we gave him our landscaping job too! It's too bad, we liked Krussell but six weeks w/o a call back is unacceptable. will not use, will not recommend

Matt's team showed up on time and had the trees cut down in about an hour. Then guy came back couple of days later to grind out the stumps. Matt's price was actually lower than I expected and the work was done faster than I expected. Will definitely use them again if the need should arise. Highly recommend the crew and Matt very personable

I wanted a cherry tree pruned, we discussed trimming the tree. I want some weight lifted of some of the limbs. Krussel's striped every branch off the tree leaving only limbs in January. I was upset at the time and he assured me the tree would be fine. The tree is dying, I brought in an arborist he told me that Krussel's had taken off the entire canopy, stressing the tree and leaving it susceptible to disease and insects and that is way it was being attacked. I messaged Matt the owner and said the tree is dying and needed to be taken down and I thought he should do it he agreed I have his text messages. He changed his mind wanted letter from arborist. He then had the nerve to tell me that the water I was using had clorine in it, water out of the hose has clorine in it and I probably killed the tree. All the other vegetation is doing fine. Such bull. I know have to have the tree removed, stump ground and the tree replaced for $1,000.

They did a great job. . .we will definitely use their services again.

OUTSTANDING! Matt and his crew showed up on time and in uniform, they were all friendly and took care not to harm the lawn or fence. The climber hacked his way all the way up to the top cutting branches and the team helped him avoid damage to other trees. Then he began cutting the tree down in sections, dropping the large pieces in the targeted landing area like a bombardier. They hauled everything away and spend a good amount of time cleaning up. Great teamwork! Great family business! Best value. Veteran owned. Nuff said.

Fantastic! When quoting me, the person I worked with gave me a couple options on how the team could take down the tree. One very expensive way would have required a lot of climbing and hand work to be done over two days. Another way had the possibility of damaging my fence, but was much less expensive and would have been done in a few hours. I opted for the fast way, because the difference in price was such that I could have repaired the fence for less that the difference. So I decided to roll the dice. The team arrived promptly and immediately got to work. They laid the tree down perfectly through our gate (4 ft!) with no damage to the fence whatsoever! The team then quickly cut up the fallen tree, and cleared up the branches. They were done in a little over an hour.

Matt was the most responsive of all of the providers I called to quote this job, he was also the most reasonably priced. Over two phone calls, I could tell Matt was very experienced in his line of work. He and his crew completed the job within a fair amount of time, ahead of schedule, cleaned up after they were finished, and left smiling. I couldn't have asked for anything more. I would definitely hire them again!

A's all around for this crew. The provider was very responsive to my request for a quote and was at the house for an estimate a day or two after I initially left a message. The price was very fair and they do their own stump removal as well if you need that done. Scheduling was a couple of weeks out, but it was the summer and I take it as a good sign that they are in demand. They were also very accommodating when I had to reschedule the day before. On the day of the cutting, the crew was efficient, polite, and cleaned the yard of all the debris from the cutting. We will probably have them do the trees in the back sometime soon - I would definitely recommend Krussell's to anyone looking for tree service without hassle.

The estimating process went well. It was comprehensive and the price was fair. On the service day, Matt and his crew were great. They were very careful and methodical. They finished in one day as promised, and they cleaned up nicely. My only negative is there were several slats that were knocked off of my fence on the side of the house. Instead of notifying me, they were just propped up against the fence. They weren't in view when we did our walkthrough, so I didn't notice until later. That part of the fence is old, and I'm sure it didn't take much for them to fall out, but I should have been notified. Overall a very good job.

Excellent tree service! Matt was quick to respond to my request for a quote. He came to my house the Friday after I contacted him and provided a reasonable price quote for work performed the following Monday. Neither my husband nor I was able to be present while Matt and his crew performed the work, but we returned home pleased to find everything as he promised, and our yard quite clean. We were very impressed and would recommend Krussel's Tree Service to anyone and would definitely work with them in the future. Matt also evaluated some potential problem trees in our yard we will revisit in the future.

A simple, straight forward tree removal project was made extremely difficult by a meddlesome HOA Board and two nasty neighbors (one of whom became confrontational with a member of Matt's crew). Matt skillfully handled the neighbor, removed the trees, and for now the HOA and nasty neighbors are satisfied. Matt is prompt, knowledgeable, and really looks out for your property. Furthermore, his prices are very fair and reasonable. I highly recommend him.

What a great experience. Had called several places looking for firewood. Not all responded to messages and if they did they were very expensive and had outragous delivery fees. Then I left a message for Matt. He very quickly responded to my voice mail, even apologized for it taking a day to respond! His price was very reasonable and no delivery charge. We scheduled delivery for a Thursday and he reached out to me on that Monday asking if he could come earlier in the week. He even texted me when he was on his way! Very nice guy and wants to do the right thing and deliver a professional service. I don't need any trees cut down or trimmed but won't hesitate to call Matt if I do! Also Matt is ex military and I always want to support our veterans, thank you Matt for your service!

Matt and his guys were great. This was a tricky removal due to the size of one tree and the angle it was leaning on the building. They showed up precisely when they were scheduled to start work. They got right to it. The guys were very careful not to let the trees they were removing damage the building. After they got the trees removed, they cleaned up the area and it looks great. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the area that needs tree service.

Matt and his team did a great job. He was very responsive, friendly, and professional. He explained what he was going to do as well as gave advice, unlike another company that just gave an estimate without any consultation. Krussell's estimate was the lowest of the three that we obtained, but even if they were a little bit more, we would still have gone with Krussell's. The only hiccup was that the subcontractor that grinds the stumps cut our cable line. However, I attribute that more to the cable line being placed poorly right through the middle of the yard and right next to the tree roots. I will definitely call Krussell's the next time we have a need for a tree service.

We first contacted Matt for an estimate on his website, and he called within a couple of hours to schedule time to come out for an estimate. We had multiple estimates given, but Matt was by far the funniest and most personable person who came out to give us an estimate. He was also very quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Matt came out immediately and started work on removing quite a few trees from our backyard (a small forest). Despite rainy conditions and generally bad weather, they kept working until the job was done, and they got it done as fast as they could for a reasonable price. I can't emphasize enough how friendly Matt and his team are. If we ever need a tree removed in the future, Matt will be the first call we make.

We made contact with Matt. Out of the 6 companies I called, he was the only one who contacted me the same day. He gave me a good estimate. I told him I was getting a couple more. His was the lowest out of 5 companies. We had some timing issues, not his fault. The weather was terrible with rain. He wanted the ground to be dry, so the heavy equipment didn't tear up the yard. Once he was there, they got the job done. I have a tree that I think is dead and will be calling him again in the future.

Matt provided an estimate and recommendations for trimming river birch trees that were lifting shingles on the roof as they were branching out. (I presume they were trying to get into the house where it's warmer, but not sure everyone agrees with my assessment.) He provided me with a date and time that the crew would arrive for trimming. They arrived on time, well within the window and after Matt reviewed the plans with me and the crew, they went to work. As the work was in progress, I consulted with Matt on other trees encroaching on my neighbor's property and he willingly adjusted to take on a little additional work. I also requested the chipper mulch from the job be dumped for a nature path I was trying to keep open and he was able to accommodate that request as well. They did a fantastic job of trimming the trees so my house is no longer in danger of being damaged and me and my insurance company thank them for that. They cleaned up after, which if you know river birches how tedious that can be. I so appreciate Matt working with me to take care of more than we originally discussed. I would not hesitate to hire them for my next tree trimming party (and would readily consult with him before any tree planting parties too).
