Overall the project went well but the pocket doors do not slide easily. There were a few times however that he said he would be here and he did not show up. I would have to call him to find out. The work he did for the most part was excellent but he did not do the conditioner coat first on the pantry shelves. It ended up too dark. He did redo most of it. What he did that was the last straw was he took a 4’ x 8’ cabinet panel that I paid $268 for and he returned them to me only after I asked and not in the original shape. I could not return them to the store. I talked with him about this and he said it wasn’t exactly stealing. If he wanted money for something he felt entitled to he could have told me instead of taking extra material that I paid for. I would not be writing now if the custom home builder he works for handled this differently. When I told him, he got angry and ordered me not to contact any subcontractors that worked for me. Of course this is something he can’t enforce.
Description of Work: He did drywall work, painted, added cabinets, installed a double wall oven, stove, exhaust fan, installed a pantry, three pocket doors, and did other handyman odd jobs.
