We originally got a quote from Calvary in March. For the typical contracted weekly services (mow, edge, trim, spray and pull weeds, blow grass off sidewalks and driveway), their price is about the same as with any other quote we received. Initially, we hired someone else who didn't require a contract which would have saved us about $500 per year by not paying for service through the winter months. However, that did not work out, so we came back to Calvary a couple of months later. They have now cared for our lawn for only about 3 weeks. What I am most impressed with already is their service and availability. 1. They did not up charge us to get the yard back into shape. If we had wanted them to do it all at once there would have been a charge, but they instead offered to do a little each week at no extra charge. 2. The first time the guys came out, they worked in the pouring down rain. If it had been me out there, I would have stopped an hour before they did. They just kept going until the job was done. 3. The owner, Sam, has answered the phone almost every time I've called. I even called at 9pm once thinking I would get voicemail. He sounded exhausted from a long day but still answered. We are now hiring Calvary to repair a drainage problem in our backyard. Their estimate was in line with 2 other companies. However, they are the only 1 of 3 estimates who said they would hand dig the trenches to protect and minimize the potential damage to the sprinkler system. Since they are a sprinkler company too, it just made sense to hire them for this job.

They were very responsive to my request. Showed up on time to make an estimate which was the lowest of 3. Though I didn't choose them for this work, I will consider them for other work in the future.

The owner was just absolutely fabulous. He responded very quickly. I got the proposal next morning. I was really impressed with his employees. There is a house 2 doors beyond from us that they also take care of. One day, it was a trash day and the employees were out mowing the lawn and taking care of it. Normally, I could see them leaving the trash receptacles out there and because it was sort of a street driveway, they took the time to take all the trash receptacles back up by the garage and made sure everything was cleaned up nice. It just kind of assured me that they were willing to go above and beyond.
