"We find it MORE than interesting that you're reviewing our company 2-1/2 years AFTER we built your fence in July of 2015. We are quick to make things right when issues arise. We would have gladly bought you a new plant in the corner 6" where demolition and new construction of a 6' tall privacy fence took place in your yard. We would have replaced the little wire barrier also if we damaged it but it's 2-1/2 years later so we don't really know what to think of this review."
"I'll let you decide. When there's an issue on a project I am quick to take responsibility and to take steps to make things right in short order, this is what a smart, caring service business does, it exhausts every opportunity to make their customer happy. Unfortunately this customer set her cross hairs on us from the very beginning and there was no satisfying her no matter what we did or were willing to do. We removed perfectly good posts and concrete foundations from her aluminum fence because she did not like the paint match and replaced them with new identical ones, we sent over crew after crew to try and make her happy but to no avail. I offered personally to come over and meet her and let her vent to me, we gave her discounts, we gave her time and attention and we made good faith efforts every step of the way. This customer is a bully, she was a bully to every single person she spoke with in our office. At the end of the day we feel we did everything in our power to make her happy. Please see our last email exchange "after her husband came to our office and finally paid their bill" (Customer names have been edited out) Hi Brian, I didn't hear from you yesterday, which confirmed the work is all about the money and not about pride in a job well done. Best of luck - hopefully the owner hears about this and works to make the company better. Pride in a job well done should be the most important. When that's the case, the money follows. Thanks, XXXXXX XXXX Hi XXXXXX, I was instructed by XXX (Husband) to leave it alone, we discussed the concrete around the posts which I explained is normal. It helps keep the grass off of your posts which allows the lawn service to not have to weed eat against your posts with string trimmers which will over time remove the finish. I am the owner over here and yes, I always want to make my company better and learn from any shortcomings we may have. Money is not our focus here, happy customers are. I do believe in my heart that money follows a job well done, it's the way I was brought up and I was taught that exact phrase by my father. When XXX came in and paid I still offered to come over, meet you and listen after the fact. Based on my conversation with him he did not think it was a good idea. Would you like me to come over? I will, I will listen. You will see I'm not a bad person and you will see I care. I won't have an explanation for the lack of communication but I assure you I have had serious conversations with all involved concerning these items and dedicated one person to convey any and all changes to customers so no one can point the finger if something happens in the future. Let me know and we will arrange a time. Thank you, Brian It's all good- I've already seen the focus. It was a test. All the best. Thanks, XXXXXX XXXX You can see by my response that even after being paid I offered to come by, this was after numerous other attempts to meet in person. Who, after the fact sends an email as a "test"?! This short email exchange is an example of the tone of previous emails. I imagine there may be an additional response from our customer taking issue with my words today. I will gladly address them point by point to show that we exhibited good faith and effort and made every attempt known to mankind to satisfy her. Some people are just unhappy inside and we can't fix that."
