KANE CARPETS

We ordered Kane Carpet from our local carpet store to replace carpet on our stairway. After 3 weeks we were told that the specific pattern was no longer available. In turn we selected another pattern and placed the order. After 3 months, a completely different color/pattern arrived with the installers which we rejected. We were told that Kane made a labeling error and that it would need to be reordered from their overseas plant with a lead time of 3 months. Weeks later we were notified again that this pattern/style is no longer available. After checking the Kane website and finding it still listed, I called Kane directly to validate its stockage. I spoke to a customer service rep who stated she was not authorized to check stockage for "end customers" only "accounts". I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told to call back in 45 minutes. When I called back, I was told that Samantha was not available, and to leave a voice mail for Lynne, the director of customer relations who would call me back at 4pm. At 4:30pm I called back asking for Lynne and was told she went home. I then asked to speak to several other leaders listed on their website and all were either not available or traveling. The customer first and last customer service rep I spoke to were short and rude. In doing more research, Kane is not a manufacturer as they claim, rather a distributor of carpet from overseas. There are numerous customer complaints about their horrible customer service and pattern of denying claims. My experience qualifies the first part, and I will be shopping with a more reliable carpet firm.
