He's independent and he works for one or two customers at a time. He takes his time and does beautiful work. He takes a very long time to produce a piece of furniture, but when he gets done with it, it's perfect.

We met Mr Rickerson at a local supply store and were talking with him about tools when he told us he did custom work on the side and we asked him for a card. Later I asked him over to our home to talk about some potential jobs we were looking at having done. He showed my wife and I a photo album of prior work he'd done and we were happy with what we saw. He took a look at out closet and made some suggestions, we told him what materials we would like to have used and he was fine with it. He gave us the estimate which was exspensive to us but it is custom handmade work so I think the value was there and the craftsmanship is great. Also it was still less exspensive than the fabricated "custom" closets you see in mail advertisements. My only complaint is you have to be flexible on delivery timeframe as this isn't his full time job so it may take slightly longer than originally anticipated. But I think part of it is he is really trying to put forth his best effort on the design and so I'm willing to wait. We've been very happy with our closet for the last two years and it's holding up great.
