We adopted a cat from a shelter. We were actually fostering a mother cat and her kittens. They did the work for the shelter pro-bono, so we started using them. Our little dog needed back surgery and we did the rehab there. They actually had her contact me, said she needed surgery, lined up the specialists, had the surgery done and rehabbed her there. She was there 10 weeks. She turned out great. They took great care of her.

I have used Lanier Animal Hospital since 2010 to care for my own animals and to provide care to the animals I foster for the Georgia SPCA. ALL of my animals - foster  and owned - have always received outstanding care. Dr. McCormick, the owner of this clinic, takes plenty of time with each animal, explains things thoroughly, answers all of my questions and if she doesn't know the answer (which is rare) she researches it. Dr. McCormick has gone above and beyond for me in caring for my foster kittens, and she has done the same for friends whose pets have been seriously injured, even getting consultation from specialists at UGA veterinary school. Dr. Sarah Keith is also very knowledgeable and patient and thorough. The staff of veterinary assistants are also professional, skilled and very nice. Their love for the animals is obvious in the way they handle them (my favorite is when Dr. McCormick talks baby talk to my foster kittens!) Most recently, I asked for help with my cat, who was refusing to use her litter box. Dr. Keith suggested buspar, an anti-anxiety medicine that is generic, very cheap at Kroger or WalMart , and works very well at reducing her anxiety.

The boarding facilities are wonderful - new, immaculately clean, the dogs go out periodically to potty and the cat boarding room has a huge picture window for cats to look out. Cats have multi-level kitty condos and spend part of each day roaming free (individually!) in the larger room so they can sit in the window and watch the world go by if they choose. The boarded animals get lots of attention and affection from the staff. I have boarded my cat here on occasion, always with great peace of mind. There is even a camera in the cat room (don't know about the dog area) with an internet link so you can check in on your cat remotely via the internet at any time.

I am so happy I found this veterinary hospital!

Dr. McCormick quickly and accurately diagnosed my cat, using her clinical judgement and confirming with blood tests. She cared for the cat at her brand new facility for a few days so she could keep a close eye on her, and then sent her home with more medicine and clear instructions on how to feed her and what symptoms to look for to monitor her recovery. She also called me once a day to check up on the cat. Dr. McCormick is always patient with my questions, both in her office and when I call on the phone, and answers them thoroughly. She takes her time in the exam room with each patient and never makes her clients feel rushed. If she has any doubt about a diagnosis, she researches it to be sure she is providing the best care possible. Dr. McCormick also provides veterinary care for dogs and cats rescued by the Georgia SPCA, and she provides the same high level of care and compassion for the foster cats and kittens she sees as she does for the pets of her clients. Her brand new veterinary hospital is fully equipped, immaculately clean, and has wonderful boarding facilities. I boarded my cat there with perfect confidence shortly after her recovery, when I had to leave town for a few days, and Dr. McCormick had her staff call me a couple of times while I was away, to give me updates on my cat so I wouldn't worry about her. The staff of Lanier Animal Hospital demonstrate the same level of care and professionalism as she does. I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else. She is an outstanding veterinarian.

Their boarding services are great, they play classical music for the animals. The beds are up off the ground so they aren't on the concrete. they walk the dogs, they socialize them with the other animals. They are great. They have bigger cages than most places, so the two dogs were able to be together, which I really liked. The place is new, and was very, very nice. If I was a dog, I'd really like to stay there!

I love my vet and have been using them for as long as they have been there. They care about the people as much as they care about the animals; I feel like I am part of the family. They are expensive, but personally I am fine with that; there are cheaper vets out there.

They have great follow up. They're great with my dog. My dog wasn't supposed to make it past 2009. My vet works with you. She helps you with financial situations. If she has allergies, she works with me on how to make her comfortable. The staff knows me when I call up there. They're always friendly. I never seen a dog go in there completely terrified. They're just a really great staff.
