Arctic Circle Air was among four companies I called for service due to an unexpected failure in my A/C unit. This company was the one with the quickest availability and the lowest service call. The service tech actually came a little early, he was professional and quickly got to work. After a short time he was able to detect the problem, explain it to me, offer solutions with pricing and begin work after I approved it. The bill reflected the service call price I was given over the phone and the repair price he gave. Prior to leaving he answered some general questions I had on maintenance I could perform and gave some great suggestions.
Hopefully I don't experience this again but if I do (and I'm sure I will), this will be the first company I call. Also, if I upgrade my unit this will be the company I call.

Eddie was fantastic. My mother's furnace stopped working Wednesday morning the day before Thanksgiving. I called Eddie a little after lunch and he rearranged his appointments to take care of my mom's problem that afternoon. Then after diagnosing the problem he said that he would have to get the parts on Friday and would come back to finish the work. In the interim he temporarily fixed the furnace so that my mom had heat through the holiday. Also I need to point out that Eddie had to find the replacement part by taking a picture because the part number had worn away. I can't say enough nice things about Eddie. Work was done well and on short notice during the holiday season.

Our AC unit wasn't cooling sufficiently, and a previous tech had told us that we were low on freon and that it was probably the result of a leak. Rather than having this first tech repair it, we called our home warranty company, and they sent out someone from Arctic Circle.
The tech arrived in a timely manner (4-hour window, of course), and he spent a great deal of time trying to find the leak. In the end, he said that it must be microscopic as he couldn't find it anywhere. He recharged the freon and told us to call them back within 90 days if we had any trouble. While I would ordinarily be skeptical that he couldn't find the leak, the amount of time that he spent looking for it suggests to me that he was doing his best job.
On the whole, we were pleased with their service. It was fast, friendly, and both the tech and the people on the phone were easy to work with.

My home warranty company sent them out to resolve a problem with my central a/c. They called first thing and said they could have a tech there between 8 and 9. He was late and didn't call, but he more than made up for it when he arrived. He quickly found the problem with the a/c and fixed it, then he tested the unit to make sure it had enough Freon, etc. Then, I asked him to take a look at the condensate pump. He said that based on its condition, he would turn it in to the home warranty company, as well. He replaced it with a new pump. Based on our experience, I would call them again. In fact, we're going to try out a service contract with them this year and see how it goes. If it goes well, we'll renew it.

They came out as promised. They were running a little behind, but were courteous enough to call and let me know. The diagnosis was easy, low on freon and repair work was completed quickly. They also checked the other unit at no additional cost. Their rep was nice and seemed to know his stuff.

My furnace was acting up, so my warranty company sent these guys out to my house. The first time, the tech was late, so I called to see if he was held up....they said they didn't have my appointment down, even though I had just scheduled it the previous day. The tech came on out then, late, and figured out what he thought was wrong and said they'd have to order the part and it should just be a couple of days. I gave it a week, then called the company to find out when they were coming back to finish fixing the furnace. I could not get anyone to answer my call and was just directed to someone different each time and told to leave a message on the voicemail. Finally, two weeks after the initial visit from the tech, I called again and was able to get someone who schedule an appointment for the next day. The part was installed and yet the problem persisted. SO, the warranty company dispatched arctic circle air to my house again and this time the guy still couldn't figure out what was wrong but told the warranty company that my vent needed to be redirected and a new vent kit needed to be installed (for only $861), which wasn't covered by the warranty. However, the warranty will now not address the furnace any further until I fix this vent that the arctic circle air tech wasn't even certain about in the first place and which had nothing to do with my furnace not working. The techs were both very nice and did what they thought they were supposed to, but I was not impressed with the PR of the company and will not be spending another cent on them.

Overall I could not have asked for more. He analyzed the problem, performed the work necessary to fix the system and checked a few other things that can cause problems with older furnaces like mine. Once the system was running the technician prepared all the paperwork, explained everything to me and checked that it was still working correctly before he left. I also appreciated that he wanted save me time if I had to call them back by making sure they had the parts on hand that he would have used if the system continued to malfunction.
