They installed our system when we built our house and did so incorrectly. The drain line for the unit, up in our attic, was run incorrectly - which resulted in the drainage coming out of an upper line - for overflow - and not the correct one near the ground. We now have a stained, brand new house, and instead of owning up to their screw up when called last October, they blew my husband off as though everything was fine. I emailed Hudson and contacted them via FB once we had someone reputable come out and fix the problem and you know what they did instead of respond? They blocked me so I’m unable to comment on their page or review them now. Absolute cowards.

They stay on top of things for me because it is my rental unit. We have had no problems with the unit and they clean and inspect everything and also change the filters. It is a great piece of mind knowing that someone is protecting what would be one of the most expensive repairs if anything went wrong. I have been really happy and they communicate directly with the rental management. I have been using them for about 2 and a half years now.

James, the technician tried to assist me with a Maytag unit that was not being covered by the manufacturer's 12 year warranty because Maytag went bankrupt. Although Whirlpool purchased Maytag's name, they did not take their warranty issues. James made several calls for me at the office and when they would not assist with the repair he came out to confirm that the compressor was bad and had to be replaced. I did not get the unit repaired by Hudson but it was because I wanted more time to contact Nordyne that manufactured the equipment for Maytag and finally after days of calls Nordyne did provide the compressor at no charge. I used another local company for the labor and freon because a friend from church who did other work for me had done other quality work. I did write a short note to Mr. Hudson to thank James for his professionalism.

James was very thorough and professional. Explained every detail of our problem. While our system is old and will need replaced (hopefully later rather than sooner), James got it working again and took care of some other issues. Very friendly, very competent. Would highly recommend and do plan to use again.

I chose Hudson because their prices are competitive and they were able to do the job much sooner. We agreed on a date and they showed up on time and ready to do the job. He had estimated it would take two days to get the unit installed, so I had to take a vacation day from work adjacent to an already scheduled day off. This is important to know because the job actually took longer, but Mr. Hudson made sure they had all the inside work done and the unit operational by the end of the second day (which required some overtime) so I wouldn’t have to take another day off from work. When they returned for the third day, all the work was outside and I didn’t have to be there. They also made sure they didn’t take my old unit down until the very last minute so that I wouldn’t have to be without AC for very long. As it happened, it was after lunch the second day and it was a cool day so it worked out perfectly! The installation was not a simple one. We were replacing a split system with a package unit and the old air handler was in a closet that had apparently been built around it. They had to totally dismantle the old unit to get it out. We were concerned they would have to take the door casing off, which would have damaged it, but they managed to get it out by taking it apart and cutting it up and didn’t have to damage the casing. I can’t emphasize enough that this was NOT an easy task! They really had to fight with it to get it out. They used the old hole in the floor for the return, but set it up temporarily with just a filter over it until they could figure out how to put in a return grille without making the whole closet useless. This would be a job for another day and require some thought, and they were also mindful of my cats and had their safety in mind for the final solution. This part was actually completed the following week by building a wooden box in the closet with the return grille built in. Another task that was not simple! But now I have a closet I can use and don’t have to have the whole thing set aside as an air return. It was really a great solution, cause I couldn’t figure out HOW they were going to end up finishing it off. I’m sure the job was more involved than originally planned and they spent a lot more time there than they originally estimated, but when I got the bill it was for exactly what I was quoted…no surprises! It was expensive and more than I originally had in mind to pay, but with a manufacturer’s rebate and the tax rebate this particular unit qualifies for, I have a 14 SEER unit for less than the cost of a 13 SEER! And it’s a pleasure to actually have an AC unit that really cools! I have an older mobile home which is not well insulated and has cheap windows, but the new AC gives me a level of cool I’d only dreamed of. This was a totally happy experience!
