ITS A WORST EXPERIENCE FORM A MANAGER OF THE STORE TO TALK TO A BUSINESS OWNER. WE HAD ALREADY TOLD THE TECHNICIAN TO GO AHEAD AND ORDER THE PARTS. WE WERE AWARE OF THE COST. ONE OF THE TECHNICIAN TOLD MY HUSBAND TO CALL ON 9-12-18 IF THEY DIDN'T CALL US. I WAS OUT ON 9-13-18 SO DIDN'T GET A CHANCE TO CALL AND CALL THEM ON 9-14-18 AND ASKED HIM WHAT IS THE STATUS OF THE PART? HE SAID WE HAVEN'T ORDERED IT YET WE WERE WAITING TO CONFIRM FROM THE CUSTOMER TO ORDER THE PART. I TOLD HIM THAT ON 9-12-18 OR ON 9-13-18 YOU SHOULD HAVE CALLED US THE MANAGER CARY SAID WHY DIDN'T I CALL THEM TO FIND OUT WHAT IS THE STATUS EVEN AFTER WE HAD TOLD THEM TO GO AHEAD AND ORDER THE PART. THE MANAGER SAID THEY WERE NOT TOLD THAT CAUSE IT IS AN EXPENSIVE PART. WE WERE GIVEN THE PRICE OF THE PART BEFORE THEY LEFT AND THEY DIDN'T BOTHER TO CALL AND WANT TO ACCUSE THE CUSTOMER FOR NOT CALLING AND HANGING UP ON THEM.

Service providers were very professional, they were prompt, and they installed the hot water heater the same day. Price was several hundred dollars less than other companies quotes.

It was taken care of but owner was not shown how to operate the control and piolet light. There was an attempt made to over charge by double of what I was quoted.

The plumber arrived on time, in uniform, and was friendly but professional in attending to business. This company provides a list of services and fees up front. He worked quickly and efficiently and had the parts he needed right on the truck. I will be calling this company again today to take care of another plumbing problem I have.

Ben Pollard has been to our house several times for different jobs.  We have always been happy with his work and assessment of what's needed.  On the most recent visit he did the manufacturer's recommended yearly maintenance on our tankless water heater.  A year ago he came out for a leak in an underground pipe in our yard.  We had noticed from our water bill that something was wrong.  Ben quickly found and fixed the problem.  I recommend Ben and will call him for all our plumbing needs.  I trust his judgment.

We got a water leak at our water meter.  County came out and told us it was on our side of the meter.  Called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing at about 4PM on a Sunday.  They came right out.  He gave me an estimate of over $700 to fix the leak.  I didn't have much of choice, being we we had no water and it was Sunday after noon.  He dug about 10 shovel fulls of dirt around the meter and came to the door.  Said there was break on the County side as well as our side.  He needed them to fix that before he could make his fix.  We called the county and he helped to convince the county he wasn't going to do any work until they fixed their side.  He left and said to call him once they got their work done.  County came out and finally agreed they needed to work on their side.  I kept in contact all evening with Benjamin Franklin as the county came out and repaired the leak.  They ended up fixing both sides of the leak.  When I told them how much I had been quoted for the leak fix, they thought I was getting all new copper line run to the house.  I called back and told Benjamin Franklin I no longer needed their services, since the county fixed the leak on both sides of the meter.   I called him about 11PM and told him I didn't need his services, so he said he would just charge me the $149.00 for the after hours service charge plus $88 for the 10 shovels of dirt he shoveled and for talking to the county.  I was happy I saved over $500 dollars, until I made some more inquiries.
I talked to a friend that had just had a similar leak at his house, and he said he paid $700 to have his entire line replaced with copper line to his house for $700. (about the same distance as I needed) I thought maybe I had mis-understood Benjamin Franklin, so I contacted them to see if the $700 was for an entire new copper line.  They said no, that would have been just to fix the leak on our side of the meter.  They gave me an estimate of $1350 to run a whole new line.  When the county inspector came out to take a second look at the leak, and I told him the price I was quoted to fix the leak, he just about fell over.  He thought the price was high and that $700 price would have been to run an entirely new copper line.
Thanks to the county, I was only out $237, but needless to say, I will not be using Benjamin Franklin to replace my water line to the house or for any other services.  I will say, they were VERY prompt, and they had a very nice looking professional truck.  FYI.. Credit card charge was to Garner Plumbing, Inc. when the charge came through, and not to Benjamin Franklin Plumbing.

They were great. No hesitation in using them again or recommending them to anyone. Late Thursday night our guest bathroom toilet would not flush and of course we were expecting my husbands parents and grandparents in less than 24 hours for a weekend visit.....Early on Friday morning I called and the woman who took my call my was very professional and sympathetic. She got me in for an appointment between 2-5 and promised to move me up if any openings occurred for earlier. An hour or two later our only other bathroom starting to back up and our kitchen sink stopped draining. I called back in a complete panic as my guests were only a couple of hours away. They got someone to our house within 45 minutes and the guy, Ben, was amazing. He had the blockage removed and we were back in business in less than an hour. plus he gave us a tip on how to get rid of the scratch marks in our toilet that we created while trying to snake it ourselves when we thought it was just the toilet. The tip worked and the toilet looks brand new. He, also, gave us (new first time home owners) some great plumbing tips if we ever have another back up....you can take off the top of the outside drain access and the water will go into the yard instead of your house! Who knew?? Thanks Benjamin Franklin! I highly recommend them!

He was to fix an outdoor lamp. After giving many reasons way the light didn't work and telling me I needed a new fixture, I decided to just have him fix the outlet. After doing so the light worked. I didn't like the pressure to purchase overpriced unnecessary items. He did not seem knowledgeable.

We noticed a small dripping leak from the water pressure regulator after watering the yard. We watched it for several days. It didn't get any better. We called Franklin to come out after explaining what was happeining. The appointment was made...we told them it was not an emergency, but they said they would be out the next day. They were right on time. The service was very quick. I asked him, "Do you always carry that part in the truck?'. He told me that this was the third water pressure regulator he had replaced this week. I guess they do need to keep that part in the truck.

Called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing due to a water softener check salt light not turning off. Two men arrived and they spent about an hour working on it. They were able to get the light to turn off by adjusting the float pieces and quickly cycling through the softener stages. As soon as the softener ran a full cycle again (takes a few hours) the light was back on; nothing was actually fixed.

I called them back about the problem and scheduled a new appointment. The day of the appointment, I received a call asking me if I really want them to come again. Since this wasn't a model they sell they couldn't guarantee a fix but they'd definitely be willing to keep coming out and charging me to tinker with it. Instead, they suggested their own $2200 replacement model. I cancelled the appointment.

Be warned, you will be charged even if nothing is fixed. I also found their replacement water softener pricing to be very high. On the bright side, they are nice and punctual. They were also the 3rd company I called about looking at the water softener. The first two wanted nothing to do with it even though they had water softeners listed here on Angie's List as a service offered.

The plumber arrived on time. Determined the problem to be a ruptured pipe for the bath/shower. He gave me a step by step description on how he would repair the problem and the price. The price was very good the work was done quickly and the place was left clean.

Representative showed up exactly on time; offered estimate and did not charge a service fee when I did not initially accept his offer.  After shopping, I found that his price was "average," but the service and quality of the product were worth using this company over less reputable plumbers to save a few bucks.

The representative returned quickly on a Saturday to perform the work and made a special effort to clean up the work area (better than he found it).  He also offered good advice on all questions, whether they were related to the work he performed or not.  He even found a way to charge a little less (using a discount associated with an annual service plan) than originally quoted.

My only complaint is that he emptied the old water heater in my lawn, which killed a section of grass - An innocent mistake.

While I never like spending money on repairs, they made every effort to lessen the financial impact. The company's prices were reasonable and they did not charge for a weekend visit. Other companies were going to charge $99.
