After Bill Keeling retired from serving as a firefighter for 27 years, he was looking for a new challenge. So, he decided to look at the possibility of opening a TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® franchise in Athens. The business opened its doors in April 2003 and Bill and his team have been serving the Athens community with courtesy and quality. It went fantastic. Diego and 2 more men ( sorry, I don't remember their names) were very professional and very careful with our stuff. They were very enjoyable to be around. We would definitely recommend them to anyone that needs movers. They made a hard stressful job very stress free. Thank you!

The guys showed up a little late and we were told that there would be corner protectors on every door or corner but the only time they put them up was when they were told the boss was coming to check on them. Even though I told them not to smoke on my property I found several cigarette butts on both the old and new properties. They destroyed two framed photos, failed to put my children's bunk beds together correctly in the new house, stripped screws taking them out and stepped on and shattered two phones. I had purchased the most comprehensive insurance and was told by the owner basically to pound sand. Nothing his employees had broken would be replaced or covered by the insurance. Never tried to make it right. He is only in it for the money and no-one in their right mind should every use this company. Horrible people.

Arrived on time. Couldn't fit everything on one truckload. Didn't bring tools to remove refrigerator door handles to move from house. Had to leave it there and move it on our own. Several furniture door knobs were broken and they did not notify us of damage. Shame on us for not catching it. Took several pices apart and never put ity together in the new location

Both days went smoothly. The movers wrap all furniture so it won't get damaged. They work very hard. The first day they worked about 6 hours without taking a lunch break, which I found worrisome. I think that a break is necessary to prevent fatigue. Besides, we needed the lunch break but did not feel we could eat with the men working around us.
I did find out on the second day that if the movers break something, they are responsible.The company apparently does not like to file claims with the insurance agent, even if the consumer buys additional insurance, as we did. I do not agree with this policy.
No damage was done to our belongings and the men remained professional and polite throughout the move.

All the workers were professional and well-trained. They efforts were coordinated and organized. Except for answering the occasional question, we only had to stand back and watch. What a stressful move this could have been - very grateful for their work.
They protected our belongings much better that I expected. If there was a risk of harm due to tight doorways, etc., we were warned and alternative options were discussed.
One of the workers was stung repeatedly by hornets hiding under a porch bench and was unable to finish the day. They quickly replaced him with another worker and didn't miss a beat.
We had our own trailer that they helped us load with boxes. After removing the tarp the rains came down, and they moved fast to get the trailer unloaded.
I would definitely recommend Two Men and a Truck to anyone anticipating a big move.

It was a great experience for my second time using this company. The movers were knowledgeable, courteous and efficient. They arrived on time, following my loading/unloading instructions perfectly and took great care with my things, even though it's 90+ degrees outside and they had to go up and down stairs with heavy boxes and furniture.
The move took longer than I anticipated, but I also had many more boxes than I realized and I forgot about the stairs. If you're moving to or from a place with stairs, make sure to allow extra time because the movers can't use a time-saving trolley and have to carry boxes by hand. Thankfully, TMT's hourly rate doesn't go up if you take longer than expected, which I appreciate. I will definitely use TMT next time I move.

They were very nice. They took really care of her really nice pieces of furniture. The price was very reasonable. It was really hot so we tipped them well. They got to the house before we did.

I called on Monday to set everything up on Wednesday. Ty gave me all the information I needed on my first call. I called back and scheduled with Tiffany. Brian-1 and Brian-2 showed up right on time Wednesday. It turned out I had to pick up more than I had planned. Tiffany drove up with a lamp box to protect a large vase. Everyone was pleasant and professional and did a really good job. No one complained or got hostile about the extra work at the last minute. They were very, very careful with the antique furniture. They were a great team, did great work and I would heartily recommend them to anyone who needed help packing. ( I drove my own truck).
