About us
I appraise Antiques and Decorative Arts including coins, furniture, and all personal items having a value greater than $1500. This includes IRS Compliant Estate Appraisals, Residential Contents Appraisals, Consultations for Asset Valuation, Appraisals required for Death, Divorce, Dissolution (valuing business assets), Damage (loss of valuable items - more than $1500 in value) for insurance restitution), Appraisals for Insurance Scheduling, Equitable Division Amongst Heirs, For Purchasing or Selling an item of significant value. All services are billed at an hourly rate unless otherwise agreed. Travel expenses are billable. I am compliant with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and have met the standards of the Ethics Code as set by The Appraisal Foundation and its member organizations. Any specific item or genre with which I am unfamiliar I disclose and can direct you to an appropriate, more qualified resource. For most appraisals we require a 30% deposit and all reports provided are paid in full upon delivery. Appraisals that may be adversarial will be charged by agreement.
