lawn mower repair

This company took two of my lawnmowers for repair. One riding lawnmower and one push mower. They kept them 12 days. They brought them back to my house. The push mower worked. I got on the riding lawnmower, it cranked, but the blades made a loud screeching noise and would not turn. The next day I called Mr. Jenkins. He told me that he did not test the lawnmowers because we did not ask him too. He stated that he would come back and work on it, but would charge me again. He stated that he only does what is asked for him to do. And since we did not ask him to test the lawnmower he did not. He stated that he had been sued a few times for doing things that the customer did not ask for and they did not want to pay. I told him that if he called the customer and told them what is wrong with the lawnmower and the price that would stop that. He told me that he did not have time to call every customer. I asked him if he checked the lawnmower after the blades were placed, he said he did not, That we did not ask. He said he does not check the lawnmowers that is brought to him he just does what the customer ask. I told him that I could not tell him what to fix, because I don't know anything about lawnmowers. Bottom Line I paid for a service to have my lawnmower fixed. It still does not work and I have to pay another person to fix it. He never called me with an estimate. By his own words never checked anything out on the lawnmower other than the electrical and to put new blades.
Description of Work: My husband was cutting grass. He stopped for awhile, when he went back the lawnmower would not crank. He called Mr. Jenkins and told him that the riding lawnmower would not crank and he thought it was the electrical messed up. The push mower just would not work. My husband called them a few days later and asked for new blades to be put on.

Customer called for pick up. First complaint-electrical;won't start. (Mower was apart) customer worked on. We repaired. Sent another push mower-service tuned. 2nd call (5-7) asked us to install blades-OK! Sent home, both running & starting good per customer! * My repair was what customer requested only. 1) start-check electrical. 2) service tune. 30 Install blades. Ralph Bean-President-Owner-Operator
