We discovered mice in our basement about 2 weeks ago after pulling out our eaten Halloween decorations.  This happened once before years ago and we caught it early and we live trapped the few and released them ourselves.  We set our live traps and this time trapped 2 adults and 2 juveniles, which means they were were breeding down there.  So, we decided to call a professional.  Ralph came highly recommended by many homeowners in our neighborhood.
Ralph came out and inspected the situation in the basement thoroughly and confirmed the problem.  He then spent about an hour outside the house looking at every gap, crack and crevice for ways they might be coming in and sealing them all.  He even went into the attic and inspected the entire thing to make sure there was nothing going on up there. 
We are animal lovers and Ralph was sensitive to that and promised no glue traps and no poison.  He recommended snap traps since the population might be too big to effectively live trap.  He left the decision to us and would do whatever we wished.  We agreed to his recommendation.
He placed numerous traps to get it done quick and said he would be back every 2 to 3 days to check on them and dispose of any catch. 
Since he was there, we also had him treat for insects.  He spent another hour outside removing webs and treating for spiders, ants, etc.  Then he came inside to treat a few problem areas.  We hired him to come back every three months for the insect treatment.  We could not believe how low the bill was when he was done. 
Ralph is an expert, very friendly, goes above and beyond and clearly takes pride in his work.  We would recommend him to anyone needing his services.

We had rats in our attic for the last time. We have set traps to fix the problem temporarily, and they always come back. Sometimes it is a year between visits, but they always come back. It was time to hire a professional.
Ralph with Game Over came to do an estimate. He climbed up in our attic and performed gymnastics to get to the area where the rats were (right over our heads where we sleep - gross). He is a big guy, but he was determined to get through the nooks an crannies and be as thorough as possible. We hired him to to the job.
It took him a day to do it. He started on the outside of the house, sealing all apparent gaps at the roof line. Then he moved inside and set traps, screwing them down to the subfloor to ensure they couldn't get away. He came back every week for a month to check the traps. We never got anything, which I guess is a good thing! His work came with a 1 year warrantee, so if we have any more visitors, he will take care of it.
He was kind, professional, and thorough. He is not punctual at all, but we were in the middle of a home renovation at the time, so we had bigger problems at the time. For the price, it was good service.
