We had Cheshire Heating & Air replace our old HVAC system with a new Carrier HVAC system in December 2015.  The old system was originally installed when the house was built and we had gotten tired of yearly repairs to both the A/C and the furnace. We had other companies come out and give estimates and Cheshire's prices were generally in line with theirs.
During the estimate process, Cheshire definitely stood out as more customer oriented.  Hugh Fannin was great to work with.  He provided four different options of air conditioner and furnace configurations that he thought would work best for us.  Unlike the other folks who gave us estimates, Hugh did not come across as a "salesman" type personality.
The installation went well.  The crew laid down heavy material to protect our wood floors from walking in and out of our basement.  During the install, they actually found where our furnace exhaust pipe had been installed incorrectly when the house was originally built.  They corrected that without any hesitation.  When setting the A/C compressor outside the house, they took the time to make sure the concrete pad was level.  The crew got everything done in a day.  Hugh Fannin came back later in the day to show my wife how to operate the system and change the filter. 
A couple of months after the installation, Hugh contacted us again to say that he had found an energy tax credit that our new system qualified for.  It is too bad that more companies don't strive for this type of customer service.
All in all, we had a great experience with Cheshire Heating & Air.  The new furnace has worked great throughout the winter.  Hopefully the A/C will work just as well this summer.  The fact that they pay attention to the little details and take time to do
things correctly are what sets their company apart from other HVAC businesses.

They were fair in their estimate for Carrier Products - the quote for worked provide was not the lowest quote but the overall installation of units were completed on time and with attention to details.  Hue the Sales Man was able to answer any question in regards to HVAC home needs.  He was very knowledgeable about every detail on the install and took the time to explain the details pro and con.  Small company but recommend them any day over the big companies.  The end price is a tad higher but the end result will make you happy.

Purchasing a new HVAC system was a major decision for us. We did our research on-line. Two brands ? Carrier and Trane ? came out on top. We also considered a couple of lower priced brands with good reputations. We got proposals from six local HVAC contractors. Cheshire Heat and Air immediately stood out from the rest. Many of the others had slick sales presentations but Cheshire began with the engineering issues. He identified opportunities to improve our duct work air filtration and thermostat. He answered our myriad of questions clearly. Cheshire proposed one of the latest Carrier systems as the best fit for our priorities. It wasn?t the cheapest proposal we received but we felt Cheshire would do the best job. We mentioned that we had guests from Florida arriving in two weeks. Cheshire sent a large crew 8 technicians plus their senior service guy and finished the job in one day. The entire team was polite, professional, efficient and tidy. We could not be happier with Cheshire. We highly recommend them to anyone wanting a first-class HVAC installation at a reasonable price.

Barry (Owner) Cheshire Heating & Air  came out on 6/13 and explained thoroughly our options/prices.  Barry stated that we would need to replace the coil in the furnace since the unit would not work without upgrading our furnace.  Our furnace is in good condition and he said it shouid last several more years so we decided to wait on replacing the furnace. His installation crew came out the next morning (6/14)  and replaced the unit and upgraded our furnace.  They were very efficient and answered all our questions.  They also installed a thermostat inside the house and explained how it worked in detail.  They completed the work in 5 hours and also took the old unit for disposal.
Later that afternoon, Barry returned to ask how we liked the new unit and wanted to make sure we were satisfied with the work.  We were very safisfied with Cheshire Heating and Air and would highly recommend them to anyone.  All the people we had contact with were very professional and courteous.

We have used Cheshire Heating and Air on several occasions in the past for both my home and our rental unit.  Their techs are always very friendly and knowledgeable.  I found them originally when our unit went out during a really hot summer.  I was put on a 3 day waiting list but had gotten impatient.  I called another company out who totally let me down. Cheshire came out when they said they would, had the part on their truck, and fixed it that same day.  Ever since I will wait however long for them to come out and won't use anyone else.  I highly recommend this company - they are worth the wait!

They come when they are supposed to come and they perform the work that they are supposed to do. I would absolutely use their services again in the future.

The technician was on time, was friendly and knowledgeable.    He told me exactly what needed to be done and gave me several options (from the most cost effective to total replacement) and gave me recommendations.  I have used them several times in the past and have never been disappointed.
