We rescued a second dog.  The vet examined her thoroughly and noticed her ears were very dirty.  He prescribed two ear solutions to keep her ears clean.

Great experience! When I called, it was easy to get an appointment. The staff members were especially warm, friendly and professional. They seemed to genuinely love working with pets and their families. The veterinarian provided good service and useful advice, and was quite reassuring about my new pooch. The price was quite reasonable. I will definitely choose them as my pet's vet.

I use Avondale Veterinary Hospital for all my pets, and have since I moved to Atlanta in 2009. One pet has medical problems and we are frequent visitors for treatment as well as boarding. The staff and doctors are friendly, caring and have provided great medical treatment to my pets. I would highly recommend them.

First, we forgot to bring the vet records. We were told they couldn't give the dental cleaning unless we brought them. We live nearby, so I drove back home, grabbed the records, and brought them to the clinic. After giving them to the staff member, she told us the vaccinations had to be within the past year. She could have told us this beforehand, so that our cat could have been taken in earlier. (We haven't taken our cat to the vet in over three years.) Our cat hisses a lot and he's difficult to control. I told the staff about this problem when I made the appointment. My husband and I emphasized the problem again in the exam room. They were completely unprepared for our cat, and acted as if he was scaring them. For the dental exam and cleaning, we were not called before they extracted EIGHT teeth from his mouth. This may be normal for extractions, but eight teeth seems to warrant a phone call.

Overall it went very well. The receptionists were very quick about getting us in and out, however I have to say they don't do a very good job of explaining necessities of vaccinations. They were going to just give our 4 month old puppy several vaccinations that were unnecessary and seemed to think it weird that we would question the necessity of such treatments. They didn't push too much for the extra vaccinations though, and overall it was a pleasant experience.

All of the doctors here are very good. The receptionists work hard to get you in and out and they are all great with the animal's. The price is reasonable and they are extremely knowledgeable. They will help your animals the best way that they know how.

I have used them for years. The veterinarians are very conscientious, professional, and their prices are reasonable. I would recommend them.

The office staff is friendly and helpful. They have a waiting area and you can also drop off your animal and pick up at the end of the day. The vet is professional and friendly. I would say that their price is about average.

Besides always having a little bit of a wait, I would say I have no major problems with Avondale. They are remarkable with our pets, they take good care of them and make us feel reassured each time we are there. I would recommend every one to take their pets there.

I have been pleased with Avondale. The level of care my dog has received is tremendous. They are very gentle with my dog and they really know what to do in situations where cancer exists in animals. I am not thinking of using another vet service because I am fully content with the services I have been receiving from this fine company.
