I have used Lowes for several in home installations and leads, so I decided to give Home Depot a chance. I was pleasantly surprised when my phone rang less than an hour after I left the store and the representative on the other end announced that they were calling on behalf of HD and understood I was interested in having some work done. This type of responsiveness is why I went to the bog box store...... well it went down hill from there. The first question the rep asked was they needed to verify I had at least $8000 budgeted for the project. I was confused, since they hadn't even asked what I was having completed. I asked if the rep if they were aware of the size and scope of my project, and was informed that there would be a minimum of $8000. I chucked and said you kidding right, you haven't even asked me what I want or the size of the room or anything. I was abruptly told that did not matter, without a minimum of $8000 budgeted they would not even come out to provide an estimate. I said, ok ... does the include the material? Rep - Nope that is for our labor only. I explained it was a 5' x 8 ' bathroom from 1966 that was already taken to the studs with no demo required. The rep explained that they could talk to the Project Manager and maybe he would consider it, but more than likely not. I politely chuckled and explained that I would not do business with a company that makes a minimum required before they even look at the job. They may do great work, but their business etiquette needs some work
Description of Work: Called and provided a minimum bid/cost without even knowing what project I was asking them to complete
