The landscaping fabric they put on the mud didn’t hold and it washed through the rock.  It didn’t hold up plus they didn’t connect the pumps properly for months.  The mud washed through the gravel and he came back and said he had to put in a retaining wall.  After I paid him $8300 he said he needed another $8300 to finish it. I later got quotes from a couple other places and they weren’t that expensive. But I was in a hurry to get it done.  He started with a reasonable estimate and he wanted half of it right then.  He came back on Monday and said he’d been thinking about it and he added another good little amount.  It just went on and on.  It took months to get it done.  The sump pumps weren’t connected to electricity.   Sometimes they came when they said they would and sometimes they didn’t.
