UNIVERSAL PLUMBING

Called Universal approximately 11:00 am 03/03/2021 to place a service call. Call was answered promptly, and I was told that a technician would be available today between 2 and 5 o'clock that day. Shortly thereafter Universal called back and told me that a tech was available early, which was great. Technician Keonte Gross arrived at approximately 12:30 and diagnosed the problem immediately. Problem was repaired in only a few minutes. Universal Plumbing, Keonte is a KEEPER! Needless to say I am completely satisfied.

Great. The price was good. They answered all my questions. They would get back to me in a timely fashion.

Universal Plumbing replaced my sewer line. They provided an outstanding experience from start to finish. They have great customer service, educated me on the process, kept me informed along the way and completed the work in a timely fashion with minimal damage to my yard. I called Universal for a second opinion and my experience with Universal far exceeded my experience with the first plumber. If you want to read the full story, it is below. But, to summarize, I highly recommend Universal. There is no question who I will call for all my plumbing needs. The Full Story I experienced a small sewage backup in a tub so I called a plumber to determine the problem. He indicated his probe could not reach the main so I must have a collapsed sewer line. The solution was to replace the line. Before going through the expense of sewer line replacement, I called Universal Plumbing to get a second opinion. The experience with Universal was very different. Larry came to the house and said he would like to determine the problem first before jumping to replacing the line. This required jetting the line and video scoping the line. I agreed. They were able to clear the clog. The camera showed the pipe was intact but the nearly 100 year old pipe sagged in a few places allowing sediment to collect. Larry explained everything to me throughout the process. I watched as they scoped the line and he explained in detail what he saw. The line was working but would likely clog again at some point because of the sag. In the end, I decided to replace the line after all. But, the decision was made with full knowledge of the problem. Universal's estimate was slightly higher but Larry explained that was the maximum price. I was much more confident with their whole approach to analyzing and solving the problem. They kept me informed and educated me from the start. The customer service was outstanding. The crew arrived on time and completed the work. They took extra effort to minimize the damage to my yard. The crew was friendly, courteous and professional. And, once again explained the process and answered my questions along the way. They put my yard back together and cleaned up leaving only the 6 ft wide dirt path on the lawn above the pipe. Topping off the excellent experience, Larry reduced the bill nearly 20% from the original estimate which ended up lower than the other company's quote. He said they didn't have to do as much work as anticipated. Although he had stated the a maximum number, I was still pleasantly surprised by the lower price in the end. Kudos to Universal Plumbing for a job well done!

We recently moved to Augusta and needed a gas line installed for our dryer and a food disposal. It was more than $800 for both services, even though the gas heater was right next door to where the line had to be run. The day of the gas line and disposal installation, we had issues with our technician and had to call the office to get him to complete the job. Before he left, he told me the disposal didn't work and I had to get an electrician to come out and run power. The next time we ran the dishwasher, it backed up with water. I called and had them send a different technician out, who insisted it was the placement of our pipes that needed to be changed (another $500+ service) or we had a brand new dishwasher that worked two days before that was defective all of a sudden. Turns out, a friend of ours determined we had a clog in the hose, and once that was cleared, everything was 100% fine. I spoke with the manager named Claudia about our experience, but she has not gotten back to me or offered me any kind of solution for the experience I had after a month. I will not use this company again in the future and recommend anyone reading this review keep looking for a plumber.

Doug came in, looked at the toilet to determine what was wrong, replaced the necessary parts. I was expecting to have to have my toilet replaced, but he was able to fix it at a very reasonable rate. Doug was very polite, knowledgeable and clean. Thank you

They charge $90 for Aiken customers, she said they have to pay the plumber ??‍♂️. It’s doesn’t cost $90 for a tank from downtown August too Aiken...thanks a lot

Universal Plumbing was extremely responsive and did an excellent job installing grab bars in our master bathroom. The individual performing the work was professional, knowledgeable of relevant code requirements, and accomplished the work in an efficient manner. I would definitely use this company again for future plumbing needs.

I was very pleased with his professional attitude and guidance.  He shared with me information I did not know and let me know how much longer the heater might last. Very helpful.

My hot water heater stopped working and flooded the workshop on a Saturday. Less than six hours from the time I discovered the problem, Universal Plumbing had replaced the hot water heater. I couldn't have asked for anything more.
