Overall we are very pleased with Sears.  The window installation was the only time we had and still have issues.

I like them is because they have fair prices. Other places had taken advantage of me, and they are the best place for a woman to receive auto service.

I bought a sears service contract for $250 to cover my refrigerator for up to $500 coverage. Wait for about 10 days and the estimation was $850 to fix a burned compressor (he charge $570 for a compressor that cost $300 at sears website). Called back to custom service and they are very rude. Fortunately I was able to cancel the service and will never use them again.

It has been fine. It's a little expensive, but it has been fine. We've had an account with them for so long. We buy our tires there, we buy everything there. It's just convenient. There are no issues with the service. It just takes a long time. Other than that it's okay.

They were the next lowest price but the salesman was kind of pushy. He tried to be a little bit harsh. You'll be spending more than what you need.

The man arrived in a Sears truck wearing a Sears shirt with last name and badge. He was already holding up the badge when we got to our back/garage door. He entered our home, wiped his feet on our mat outside first (I thought that was nice and respectful). He dealt with my mother who paid for the Kenmore vertical Fridge/Freezer. He responded back with a summary of what my mother said (I learned this in retail and again surprised, not very many service people do this away from bosses.) He ask for a bucket for the ice and paper towels so he could clean up any water (again 2 thumbs up). He worked on it for a bit, then said the little motor that turns the blades to cut the ice that allows it down from inside to outside was dead. Mom asked him how this could happen, he stood up (from kneeling, he was tall) and explained it to my mom. He then said it happens sometimes, and he had noted the make and model of our Fridge on his sheet so he had grabbed some parts, and has this motor in his truck. As he left to go out side, he told my mother if any thing in the freezer could be damaged by thawing out, she should put it in the very back of the top shelf of the Fridge to help it stay cold. (again 2 thumbs up) We only had a couple things so we did as he instructed. He replaced the motor. Cleaned up his mess. Overall time was about 10 mins plus an hour. He didn't charge us for a full second hour, he just charged for qtr hour. Had my mom sign a few papers. She initialed the total and was told she would receive bill in mail. He was very kind and neat.
The motor died again about 5 months later. So thats why the C in quality. Nothing to do with the repair.

They required $1500 purchase minimum for a window replacement. They were on-time, and willing to wait so I was able to arrive from work and speak with them. I appreciated this. It was a free estimate - they were professional. They were not able to answer many of my questions, but they were very forward and answered what they could. The service-man even made phone calls to retreive answers and while they were unable to answer many of them I appreciated the effort of getting me answers.

When I called to make the appointment - the receptionist said there was a two window minimum. However, when they called again to confirm, another receptionist said it could be one window. When the men showed up it was a three window minimum. It seems communication is lacking and this should be clear to the consumer/prospective purchaser.

The person that contacted me was very rude and hateful. He bit my head off. He never even called my husband. They never sent me a quote and never contacted me about a quote or anything. I would never recommend them to anybody. Sears never showed up. They never called.

I didn't pay anything. I had free extended service warranty which otherwise would have cost me over $500. They checked everything to make sure that everything was working in order. They determined what was wrong with it because it wouldn't start.

They are rated very highly. I didn't pay anything for the repair, as I had their extended warranty agreement. What stands out about them is that they are slow. If your washing machine or dryer goes down, it takes anywhere from five to fourteen days to get them in to repair it. In one particular case, for a refrigerator, it took them four trips back before they finally fixed it. They cover all our major appliances. Their repair man finally showed up, but it's not his fault, it's their scheduling system. I would only use them again because I am tied in with their extended warranty system. I have had some experience with another appliance repair service, and they were no better than Sears. These national companies don't have enough repair men for the work that they do, and that's the reason they take so long.

I'm happy with the service that they provide and will go back if needed. It was a little expensive.
