Paul Davis Restoration of Augusta & Aiken

In June of 2018, a tree fell on my house during an evening storm and I called Paul Davis Restoration of Augusta to respond. Overall, the initial response team is the only positive interaction from this whole ordeal. After the initial response, however, it was extremely hard to get them out to perform repairs, taking over 2 months to finally complete. The sheetrock work and painting came out nice once completed, but will need to be redone due to the atrocious roof work. A week after the installation, it started leaking (2018), again after 2 years (2020), and yet again during the 4th year (2022). It was at this point Mark from Paul Davis stopped returning my calls. All repairs performed by Paul Davis’s “roofing experts” have been ineffective to say the least. But after having a second roofing company come out, it was discovered just HOW ineffective. It was revealed that some repairs were made with bathroom caulk. No ice and water shield were applied to the valleys on the initial installation, causing the decking to be comprised and needing replacement. Certain points in the valleys had joints being met at the center of valley. They did not replace the old vents on the roof, but reinstalled the old vents, many of which were damaged. The roofing shingles were ripped instead of being cut by the Paul Davis team. Lastly (at least lastly to yet be discovered), the clean up behind them left nails in the yard and damage to the gutters. The quality of the install and repairs on the roof from Paul Davis are amateur at best. This roof is 4 years old and we’ve already spent thousands on repairs due to the incompetency of Paul Davis‘s Restoration team located in Augusta. I cannot imagine myself in any situation where I would recommend them to anybody, just recommend to run the other way.

My home insurance company recommended them. I used Paul Davis for the cleaning and storage my furniture. They had my household items from December 2014 through March 2015. Upon return of my items there were several items that were damaged during their handling of them. Several of the items they had even attached a note station they were sorry for the damage. I didn't complain and sacked that up: but there were items that they damaged and I showed them they took pictures of and said they would take care of and they haven't. They scratched my Click/Clack (futon) type of sofa that needs replacing and I haven't heard from them. I went back and spoke to owner back in April, and he assured me they were working on getting things taken care. I had even tried calling around to see if it could be fixed, it can't so I'm still waiting for replacement of this item. I looked for replacement parts for my dryer they damaged but was unsuccessful. They do need to replace the my Click/Clack with a brand new one, so I can close this chapter. The employees were really nice and accommodating.

Excellent local representative of Paul Davis. We dealt with him from afar with no worries. Very professional and thorough during a difficult time for us as homeowners. A++ communicator.

the work went well, however we had the Insurance company to deal with as well.  Davis Restoration did a outstanding job, you would have never guessed we ever had damage of that extent in there at all.  I would use them again and I have recommended them several times to people
