Orkin Pest Control

Initially the service was very professional and good, but my technician/bug guy kept being later and later for appointments to treat the house.  The first six months or year punctuality was not an issue.  But eventually, every time there was a treatment, the bug man would be an hour or two late.  In addition, we still had bugs and the prices didn't seem that great.  I thought a big name would provide better services, but I was wrong.   When I went to cancel services after the contract was up, I was told that our account had been paid in full and there would be no more services.  We then received a written letter in the mail threatening to take us to collections over lack of payment.  I immediately phoned Orkin's office, who told me it was just a mistake.  One would think that a company this size would have figured out how to do business by now.

I paid $70'ish dollars for a bimonthly service.  The technician came out and spent less than ten minutes total in my large home.  In the days that followed, the house residents saw a HUGE increase in the number of live cockroaches roaming around - at least a dozen a day were seen, and killed by us.
I called Orkin and requested that they come back out and repeat the service for free, because it was obviously not successful.  They agreed, and sent out an exterminator.  He set four glue traps, and took the old glue traps and *left them on my kitchen floor in a pile for me to throw away* - keep in mind, they were stuffed full of dead roaches, approximately a dozen in each trap.  Disgusting.  I watched him get out of his truck and come in, and then go back to his truck to leave.  He did not spray any insecticide, and did not treat either the front of back of my lawn.
He mentioned while he was here that Orkin "hadn't gotten their supply in yet" of glue traps and so he only set a few, and then the next day (when their shipment arrived) he would "drop some off for [me]" to set and place myself (?).  That never occurred.
Basically I paid $70 for someone to come and place four roach traps in my house.  They did not spray insecticide, did not treat the yard to create the all-important "barrier", and the technician complained about how much his knee was bothering him the entire time I was visiting him - that is, when he wasn't sharing recipes for his favorite alcoholic beverages with me.
Every aspect of this service was unprofessional and inadequate.

The inspection went very well. The gentleman who did the inspection set down and discussed the various types of bugs that I described to him. He talked about the treatment and how often it would take place. So far, there have been two visits and bugs are no longer appearing in places that were found previously. The price for services is reasonable.

The experience has been totally, completely excellent. If I have a problem they are right there to resolve it. I had swarming termites and they were out here the same day. I have two separate contracts; one for the termites and the other for basic pest control.

Their service is good and I would use them again.

They were pretty good but they are a little expensive. they did say they would be here one day then tried to say it was a different day and I know better. I will not use them again for termite but for something else I probably will.

We got a technician because we moved, but we had the old technician for four years and I really liked him. He seemed to know what is going on; once we had a problem with some bugs coming on and he knew what exactly to use on it. He can do anything and he is very good. He is efficient.

I like everything about them.  They are very professional 

They come quarterly. They didn’t charge us anything because we have a contract with them. We would recommend them to others. They are efficient, trustworthy, dependable and very reliable. They will come back if there are things to be taken care. They have a good sense of humor.

I used them for 4 years, and originally had no complaints. They came in timely manner and were courteous. I even gave them a key to my home. Then one day, I discovered a key in my door. I was under the impression that they released the key the day of service and returned it to a locked location. I kept the key and was expecting them to call to let me know they didn’t have the keys to my home. After a few days I called them and spoke with a manager to discuss the situation. After speaking with him, he couldn’t guarantee me that my key would only be released on the day of service and returned to a locked location. I discontinued my service.

Called for service on a Friday, serviceman came promptly on Saturday morning, was professional and courteous though my roommate and I were both hung-over. Quickly went through his prescribed tasks and also gave chit chat and made conversation, he gave us plenty of tips on how to prevent other insects such as spiders, roaches etc from getting into the house and then went outside for the exterior service. Knowing we were both hung over he called us rather than ring the door bell to leave us the receipt and promptly left. Sunday afternoon we received a confirmation call to confirm we had service done and Monday the local center called us to ask about the quality of the service and if my roommate and I wanted monthly service done. Overall amazingly professional, if only more companies treated customers this well!
