Heating and Air Conditioning Service, Appliance Repair
Installation of the system was sloppy. For starters, I asked if the new outside unit would fit on the current concrete slab and he said yes. In this case, yes means I'll throw a composite slab on top of the current one. This means it it only one strong wind storm from being blown off the base.
Next, the attic unit installation was pathetic to say the least. I do not install A/C systems personally, but, I know one does not need to bang and bend and pry the old sheet metal housing to make the new evaporator coil fit inside it when the brand new housing that it was already inside was right there. He was too lazy to remove the old sheet metal housing and replace it with the new one. This led to MASSIVE air leaks into the attic. I had to coerce him to go check with me before he left, and it was a good thing. Air was pouring out of the housing edges and three entry points for the coil pipes and I swear I feel coolant leaking out of the copper fitting leading into the coil. He said that cannot be unless it was coolant and we would see it.
None-the-less, after he left, I went back up and felt more air still leaking from the shoddy workmanship and will have to call him back and demand that he install the new housing for the new coil like it was supposed to be in the first place. I pray he did not null my warranty.

Not worth the time or money I spent on this service call. NOTHING was accomplished and no follow up to a 275 dollar element I ordered.

Larry was the tech that came out. He called me as I requested to let me know he would be at my house in 25 to 30 minutes. He was here when I got home. Went to work right away, replaced the part that the error code had said was the problem when I called in for the service. Unfortunately, there was an additional problem. The pump on the bottom was blocked with several items that had managed to find there way down into two different sections! Fortunately the pump was not damaged and after he removed everything and put the machine back together the washer began to run correctly and was quiet again!

Larry was my service man, and he did the work and even saw that my washer was not even and was very noisy and he fixed that and gave me other tips on how to keep things running well. I was impressed by how he worked showing me why I was having trouble and how what he did make it all work. Thank you for having listed this company. I would recommend LARRY any time as he is the one who helped me.

Again, does not merit the time or effort, other than to hopefully save others from the dishonest buffoonery this company specializes in.

I recommend then highly - low diagnostic rates - people who ue One Call or any other heat and air company thru any American Home Shield type home "warranty" connection does'nt understand the warranty company tells the HVAC (or any other "warranty" covered servicecompany) company exactly what it can and cannot do - what is can or cannot fix - it is not the A/C company's fault - you AHS people need to readthe fine print - I think One Call was great as a personal person calling a professional company to do a job - they did it - did it well and I am happy

Their rates are very good in comparison to other people I have used in the past. They did a dryer repair the first time and couple of days later my washer went out. They came out and repaired that and again the prices were very good. The washer repair was $280 but that was because they had to put in a couple of parts. It would have normally cost over $300 but they gave me a senior citizen discount. They came out another time after they repaired the washer. They were on time. They hadn't put it in the right place, so they came out and moved it around and everything was satisfactory. They would have been punctual but they got lost the first time, so I would hate to think that they were not punctual. I would definitely use them in the future.

I would never recommend then under any circumstances. They were just morons and they were provided to me by my home warranty company. I purchased a huge home as a foreclosure and one of the air conditioning units went on the fritz. It leaked tremendously and it soaked the sheetrock ceiling so something was definitely wrong. They were going to order a new drip pan because it was so rusted. The guy that came out originally seemed to know what he was doing but he did not clear out the line because that was not a part of the service call. We got into it because I thought he should stop it from dripping and fix the air conditioner before he replaced the drip pan. He came out with a nine- or ten-year-old helper which seemed quaint at first. They didn’t return our calls and someone actually hung up on my wife when she called to yell at them. Weeks went on but they never called.

My AC went out on Thursday and they came in to diagnose the problem. They didn't have the right part so I had to wait until Monday. The service man who put the transformer in was unprofessional and had a "bothered" attitude. Also, I had to follow up several times with the company about the next steps to getting the AC back up and running. I decided because of their responsiveness and the attitude and shoddy workmanship, I would get a second opinion. The second company confirmed that several of the parts of the work were not up to code and stated "they obviously don't have any pride in their work." That's kinda what I was thinking.

Not very well. The contract was transferred to another agency who completed the job.

Contractor was assigned after the first one, Mead Services, could not repair the appliance after 4 tries over a month. Appointment was scheduled 4 days after the order was placed. Technician was not courteous, unprofessional attitude including appearance and approach. After finding the leak which the first contractor couldn't, technician just shrugged his shoulders and said he was only diagnosing and not repairing...Contractor was supposed to go back to AHS and get authorization which he hadn't done till 3 days.. After repeated calls, the office tells me that it's turned over back to AHS and the original contractor !! We come a full circle...Went ahead, paid from my pocket, got a reputed contractor and got the job done. Stay away from One Call Services

Overall, I was very disappointed that they Supvisor and/or owner of this company was obviously unconcerned that one of his customers was not satisfied.
