"This customer was a problem from the first day of the project to the last. She was asked and agreed to ensure we had 5ft of space between all the walls and any furniture, and she failed to provide that space, in fact, she told us the first day she was not going to provide any more space because she didn't want to move any more furniture. She was told we DO NOT MOVE furniture, except the refrigerator, and then only if it is on wheels. During the project we had to paint the stairwell twice because her toddler put dirty fingerprints all along the wall. We also had to paint an accent wall in the dining room twice, in addition to a touch up because her toddler splattered something all over the wall. After she had inspected the finished product she said it was beautiful and she loved it. Later she began to berate us for not moving her stove out and painting down to the floor, even though we told her we DO NOT MOVE FURNITURE. She also berated us for not removing the toilet tank and painting a 6 to 8 inch square behind it, we tried to explain to her we are not plumbers, but she was not satisfied with anything we said. During the project she was on the phone berating another contractor that had installed an alarm system in her house, and she did to them exactly what she did to us, demanding all sorts of work be done for free, or a massive refund. With us she demanded some kind of refund as well but refused to tell us an amount of money that would make her happy. The bottom line is this, she failed to do anything that she had agreed to do to facilitate the project. There is nothing we could have done to make her happy, and nothing will stop her from doing this same thing to any contractor that is tricked into working on her house. We would recommend that any contractor that comes in contact with her, leave immediately. DO NOT GET INVOLVED with this woman in any way what so ever, you will regret it. To make our point very clear, her project was completed in February 2019, and still over a year later she is still trying to reach out and cause trouble for us 14 months after the fact. I SAY AGAIN ALL CONTRACTORS RUN AWAY FROM THIS WOMAN AND DO NOT WORK FOR HER FOR ANY AMOUNT OF MONEY. To anyone who reads this review, we have pictures of her project, beginning photos, photos of the project about halfway complete, and photos of the completed project, AFTER she approved it."
"This customer was helped to the best of our ability. We explained to her that we are not a furniture moving company, but we would do the best we can to help her. Once we had done all we could do for her, we gave her a bill, that was well below our established and agreed upon price for handy work. The customer insisted that we accept a significantly larger amount of money for the work we did. As for being late, we called the client and explained that GPS was taking us well away from her house. She gave us some basic directions to the subdivision, and we arrived about 15 minutes later. As for her having to help us, well the truth is we never asked nor wanted her to help us do anything. We have a strict company policy which DOES NOT allow us to ask the clients for help with any portion of the work being contracted for. All of you that have any knowledge of how liability insurance works with contractors you know we can't ask them to help. My wife and I are partners in this painting company. If the customer needed two or three strong guys, then she should have asked Home advisor for a furniture mover, not a painting company, that does a little handyman work when painting contracts are slow or small. Lastly, while we were in her house she was very pleasant and happy we were willing to even try and help her. After we left, she decided we were, well what she stated above. Some of which is true, most of which are exaggerated or not true at all. Clearly, we will not be accepting work from her in the future."
