It is an integrated system. They come out very quickly and make appointments to come out. When you leave a message within an hour, they call.

They do contract work for old republic. They are local. The price is set by insurance. It was a service fee. The provider is dedicated to his customer. I have had him before and he fixed something else and I have been talking to him consistently and I value honesty and dependability. I do not like people coming into my house whom I do not trust but he is trustworthy and a professional.

New purchase of 3 year old existing house. I had been noticing that the heat pump did not appear to be functioning correctly because the auxiliary strip heat seemed to be running even when the weather was 50 degrees outside. My first electric bill caused sticker shock and I knew something was definitely wrong. I had received a home warranty with my house purchase and used this to schedule a service call. Mead was the contractor the policy warranty used.
The administrative staff called approximately 3 hours in advance on the day of the appointment to inform the technician would be arriving. He actually arrived later than my appointment but called well in advance that he would be late due to a complication that was taking longer than anticipated for an earlier appointment. Jan 7 was one of the coldest days, temps in the low 20's, and I knew that the strip heat would be operating and had some concerns that the diagnosing could be masked by the temperature. Upon arrival we discussed the concern I was experiencing. His initial review was of the programmable thermostat to ensure it had been properly set. He then diagnosed the operation of the inside and outside unit. He determined that the heat pump did not have an outdoor thermostat installed and the wiring to the inside thermostat had been incorrectly connected which caused the unit to always run in the auxiliary strip heat mode. Dwayne corrected the problem and we discussed the manual process which needed to occur to switch to strip heat during frigid weather. In addition to performing this service he adjusted the refrigerant charge to ensure efficiency.
I will use Mead services in the future for my heating/air needs. I found them to be reliable and very informative in addressing my concerns. Dwayne was very courteous and professional while on site. He finished my service late in the evening, around 8:00 pm, and I thanked him for coming out. He mentioned he still had several more service calls that he had been swamped due to the frigid temps. To me, this displayed service dedication and commitment to his customers to provide excellent service.
