"We strive to make our customers happy and maintain good relationships, and I am disappointed that [removed member name] was not completed satisfied. From the review, it appears that Mr. Walker was very pleased with our work, our professionalism, and every aspect of this encounter except the price. So, I will address that first. As [removed member name] stated, I gave him a $3,000 estimate. The range of $1,000 to 5,000 was never discussed. I did tell [removed member name] that it could be closer to $5,000, once we tore the floor out and got a good look at the actual damage. I never like any job cost to be a shock to my customers, I always give them an idea of what I think I can do it for and a worse case scenario just in case there are unforeseen problems when we can actually see the damage. On a job like this one, you cannot see all the damage and it is necessary to completely tear all of the old damaged work out in order to accurately quote a cost. [removed member name] was indeed fortunate that this job was not closer to $5000. I was able to keep his cost down and [removed member name] never mentioned thinking that this job was overpriced when he paid and signed the invoice. When we left he stated he was pleased that we had completed the job and he had working facilities again. As, I said, we strive to maintain good relationships, and inform our customers ahead of time what the cost could be. I deeply regret that [removed member name] is not pleased now with the cost of this job. However, we do appreciate the positive reviews he gave in every other category and are pleased that [removed member name] still considers us a good company. We appreciate our customers reviews and will continue to use them to improve our working relationship with all of our customers."

"Thank you for your recent review. We greatly appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future."
"I was disappointed when I read this review, we take great pride in maintaining excellent customer relations. We strive to satisfy our customers and have worked very hard in our many years of being in business to maintain not just good but great relationships with our customers. First I would like to apologize if I appeared to be "surly and non-apologetic", as this is certainly not how I treat my customers. I would have welcomed a call to discuss and apologize for the misunderstanding. I was surprised to see this review, we have never had any negative comments on our customer relations. Second, I would like to address the customers work concern. I retrieved a copy of the signed invoice, so that I could better address this situation. Our initial work order was on 1/24/11. We always offer the manufacturer warranty for the product and in addition we give a one year warranty on all of our work. Meaning, when our customer calls us, if that product has a defect we check the manufacture warranty for coverage and we deal with the company to have it replaced if applicable. If it has been a year or less from the installation date, we do not charge a service fee or labor fee. On 1/24/11, customer called with a leaky valve in the master shower. Customer stated that it was used daily by multiple members of the family. I replaced the existing shower valve and checked for leaks after completing the job. Customer signed the invoice and I left. Almost fifteen months later, on 4-13-12, customer called and said, the valve was leaking again. I pulled the invoice and explained that I would come out but they were not under warranty. I replaced a washer on hot side of stem and explained to customer that exerting too much pressure when closing valve, would often cause this problem. Although it had been well over a year, I only charged a service call and did not charge them for fixing the problem. I feel like we did our job and did it well, customer was satisfied for over a year, while using product multiple times every day. Again, we strive to make our customers happy and maintain good relationships, and I am disappointed that this customer was not satisfied with our performance."
The first problem was a tub/shower in which only the shower worked (no water came out of the tub faucet--although it did jet out of the on/off knob!) He fixed the shower quickly, replacing needed parts, and it works really well now.
The second problem we had was a toilet that was wobbly and the tiles around it were broken. That portion of the floor was a bit lower than the rest, so I didn't really know what was going on, but I asked him to fix the seal around the bottom of the toilet. What really impressed me was that he told me he couldn't do what I asked to the toilet because it would be a waste of my money. He advised me I probably needed to have the sub-flooring and the tiling replaced and would have to have the toilet reconnected again anyway. Sure enough, his diagnosis was correct and I am going to need to have the flooring replaced. Mr. Davis could have taken advantage of my lack of knowledge and charged me to do unnecessary work, but he didn't. I really appreciated his honesty, as I have no money to spare these days.
"Thank you for your review. I appreciate the good report and all of the nice comments. We do strive to treat our customers with the utmost respect and courtesy. Thank you and we look forward to serving you again."
"Thank you for your positive review on Angies List. We hope you will consider us for your future needs."
