Technician was Kelly Brunson. He called to let us know he was on his way and arrived promptly after call. He was replacing air scrubber cell. He also checked vents to make sure they were functioning properly. He was very friendly and explained everything he had done wished us a good afternoon and told us to call if we needed anything else.

The installers from Busby's were punctual, professional and overall excellent. 'Took the time to tell me what they were doing, and ask if I had any questions. The installations of condenser, coil, blower and thermostat were done to perfection, and they cleaned up afterwards to a point that I think was better than when they first arrived. ; >

It was 10 years old and it needed to be replaced. I've used them for the last two or three years, off and on. They were very personable and honest and I never felt cheated. I felt like they knew what they were doing.

On whole the service went well, but for the scheduling. On the web site I requested service through [email protected] on August 21, 2016, never received a response. On August 23rd at 12:43pm I directed the same request to [email protected], never received a response (to Busby's credit this e-mail address may not be monitored). At 9:30pm August 23rd, I directed my request to Kristen Busby, the Service Manager. The next day the service was scheduled. The web site "Contact Us" feature is lacking which is why I rated "Responsiveness" FAIR, unfortunately typical of most service providers in the area. The original schedule was not met, the reason I rated Punctuality just GOOD, but Busby's called to advise and rescheduled for the following week. They said if the service could be fitted in the next day, they would try. That is what happened and we received service on Friday without having the weekend with no cooling. Randy Dunn, the service technician, arrived in a clean truck, quickly diagnosed that our system was low on Freon, and replenished it with a weighed in charge of 2#. The price for the obsolete R-22 Freon was expected and fair. The tablet Busby's used took my debit card payment and immediately produced an e-mailed invoice, a modern use of technology.

Our new furnace quit working. They came out did nothing but bad mouth other service providers. Hit the face of the furnace and it started working. A week later stopped working again. Came out said it was possibly a computer part refused to order the part saying I had to pay for it up front even though it was under warranty and they claim to honor warranty. paid $159 for service call. Called the company to complain and they argued that I signed the service order. Told them I didn't sign anything. They sent me a refund for the $159. The problem was not enough gas flow, Another company made the adjustment and we haven't had a problem since.
I have 2 cancelled checks from this company I would have to go dig out for the exact dates but I can prove that they came to my home twice this review should not be removed.
I went back and checked my records the only thing I was confused about is the date of service I called International Comfort Products about our warranty on December 18 2012 than I called Busbys they stated their service call was $98 I gave them an A for punctuality because they came that day I had a coupon for $20 from the super saver I paid with check #1288 in the amount of $78. Talked to tech about the dust problem he suggested a uv light called their service dept to order one and the service manager said they weren't worth the money and talked me out of it. I realize this was a while back but they still provided bad service and were nasty. I again talked to International Comfort Products on December 26 They were extremely nice and helpful and said the warranty would be honored.
Time has completely gotten away from me since during this time period my grand daughter died my father in law got cancer and has since died and my husband was diagnosed with a bone marrow disorder so to have to deal with jerks like the ones I dealt with at Busby's with everything that was going on is not acceptable. It's not acceptable even if nothing was going on in my life.
If you you want a good review give better service. Not once was there an apology or a how can we do better everybody was nasty and argumentative. Your bright yellow trucks make it hard to confuse which company was here. I should have checked my records for the date I'll know better next time for reviews on this site.
My husband was talking to me and I mis-typed yellow of course your trucks are red in the next few days I will make copies of my checks and get a copy of the refund you sent back to me to upload for proof. I believe I also have the receipts your tech gave me, which I will also upload.

Response from Busby's Inc
"After Angie's List supplies a street address we were able to find the customers records. On December 18, 2012 we went to the customers home for a heating problem. We cleaned the flame sensor and charged a total of $78.00. On December 26, 2012 we returned for the same problem and cleaned the burners, checked the gas pressure, and the system was working intermittently. Our technician thought the problem was the gas valve and quoted a repair. There was no charge from our company for this call. The customer called the following day and was unhappy with our service. On December 27, 2012 a refund check for the $78.00 was issued. The customer was refunded the entire amount that they had paid our company. If anyone in our company was rude during this process I certainly apologize as our company is well known and respected for our customer service and professionalism."

Technician told us Unit had bad heat
exchanger and could not repair without replacing heat exchanger.
He shut off gas to prevent use of unit until repaired. ( I knew this was
required by law of course)
He quoted a price to replace heat exchanger of $4000.00
I considered this estimate extremely high.
I am probably wrong but I believe the price should be somewhere in the $1000 to
$1500 range
He also quoted a price of unit replacement of approximately $5500.00
He did not provide a written estimate with estimated part costs.
Two days later when ambient temperature was warmer I turned on Air conditioning
unit.
I noticed an hour later house was not cooling down. I went outside and found Air
conditioning compressor was running but the Condenser fan not operating. I
immediately shut off unit to protect compressor from damage.
I
knew the condenser fan was working ok before heater inspection so I suspected a
wire was possibly jarred lose during inspection.
Next day I called company explaining what I fear had happened and a different
tech came out and agreed with my guess and fixed problem which was a wire not
connected back after inspection.
Air
worked ok after that.

It could not have gone better. Busby's was quick and efficient. Because they had been out the day before looking at the upstairs unit (that's a phone call you don't want to get from your house-sitters while on vacation on the other side of the country), they did not charge me a service call -- just the price of the replaced capacitor. I have used Busby's on a number of occasions in the past and will continue to do so.

This is the second year I've used them. They did an excellent job. It costed $149 a year. They're punctual and business-like. They do a good job. I haven't had any major problems. They've done a good job from not having any.
