They offered a free consultation. At the end of the consultation we decided that the foundation was sinking but not enough to need there services. They took the time to explain why and answer all my questions.

Excellent Job!!! If you are looking to have your foundation stabilized, then look no further. Barton and Barton is the company you need to call. This company will give you 110% or better. Greg and Doug are the owners of the company, very professional, and both men of their word. Their team of workers were very proficient. They exhibited great manners, dedication to the job and a wealth of knowledge. They did a great job of making me feel comfortable with the tedious process of stabalizing and lifting / leveling my home. Greg ensured that I understood every step of the process. I would not hesitate to hire them again for other repairs on my home.

He was prompt coming out. He said that we was busy and that he probably wouldn't be able to start on the project for about a month, but then I didn't hear from him the next week with the quote. When I called, he said he wanted to bring and quot;his manand quot; out to see the wall. He asked to come that day. He didn't show up until late afternoon just before I was planning on going out. They looked at the wall again and confirmed that they would need to tear it down, put in a temporary wall and rebuild it. No problem. Two weeks later I hadn't gotten the quote. He finally returned my call and gave my some rough numbers--nothing specific on what each part of the job would cost. Then he said that he wouldn't be able to get started on the project for at least two months--that he'd taken on other jobs in the meantime. I was extremely disappointed to be left hanging all that time and then to be put on the back burner. If he'd not wanted to do my job, I wish he'd told me from the beginning.

They did a great job, worked steadily, cleaned up everything, were very nice, and explained everything. They painted the door where needed and re-caulked where needed.

Received email proposal within 3 business days. The proposal:

1. Was not detailed written as to what was discussed with home owner that the company would provide.

2. The lay out map provided was very evasive and parts of the proposal was hand written along with the estimate of 2850.00

3. This proposal did not mention the warranty or the amount of time needed to complete the job, putting back the fence or dirt.

4. This proposal left too, too many possible loop wholes as to the quality of work and material that may or may not be used/done. I'm not saying I would not use this company however, the proposal and contract would have to be written more professionally and detailed.

The Barton and Barton owner and staff were WONDERFUL!! During the 3-4 days repair, the crew was on time, professional, friendly and cleaned up any debris daily. The owner came by several times to check on the progress and was also VERY satisfied with the completed work. I would DEFINITELY use them again. The professionalism and the price, you just can't beat!!

These guys did a great job. They responded promptly when we first contacted them. They showed up on time or called when they could not make it. They did a quality job quickly and cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend them to anyone needing their service. I was impressed by their professionalism.

that they were going to do before starting the job and provided a summary when completed.

I called three times and still didn't get the estimate until August. The estimate for the work was over $6,000. He wasn't very informative as far as the estimate was concerned. I would not recommend them.

They were honest and helped me fix an issue with my slab that another company wanted to over charge me for.

The installation went smoothly. they worked quickly, including in a significant rain storm. Only issue was that they left mud on steps, and left tools under our deck without talking with us prior. Also, several cigarette butts were found in yard. Other than that, very quick work that appears to be working properly.

The wall Barton and Barton was supposed to have stabilized tilted out After we purchased the house. We noted continued settling and water under the house. We contacted Barton and Barton and they inspected the house. They caulked around the slab on the porch and said it would cost another $1,200 to put another pier under the house to stabilize the house. We contacted a structural engineer and he stated that one pier would be useless. The house continued to settle and the wall where Barton and Barton had poured the concrete collar to stabilize the foundation had pulled even further from the house causing hugh cracks in the wall of the master bed room. We continued to get water under the house in the crawl space. We finally contacted Ram Jack and they used their steel pier system to fix the foundation under the wall. The slab that served as the entrance to the crawl space had tilted in allowing water to drain under the house, I elevated this slab and solved that problem. We continue to have shifting under other areas of the house that Barton and Barton were supposed to have fixed, but we can live with the minor cracks in the walls.

All work was supervised by Mr. Greg Barton.To repair the foundation, some shrubbery had to be removed extensive trenches dugged and concrete poured. Care was taken to be sure nothing was damaged. ie lawn, cars from concrete dust. Care was taken so that no loose dirt was left on the lawn by putting the dirt on tarps or canvass. Upon completion of the project, shrubbery was replanted and flower beds dressed neatly and all debris hauled away. We felt the price was reasonable and could not have had a more enjoyable experience with the work crew.

Gregg Barton quoted very reasonable prices for the two jobs and showed up precisely when he said he and crew would arrive. The workmen were all professional in their demeanor, polite, and hard working. All the work was done professionally. They cleaned up the area after they completed the job and made sure I was completely satisfied before they left. The final bill was exactly as quoted initially. They even accomplished a couple of small items we hadn't discussed initially. I've been in Augusta for about thirty years and have hired lots of contractors. Barton and Barton is among the very best and I would (and do) recommend them to anyone looking for a professional, dependable, honest contractor.
