Nathan is an exceptional piano tuner. Professional in every aspect, he does great work at a fair price. He’s very honest and won’t recommend work that is not needed. He has fixed several issues with our “new to us” piano that I was concerned would cost a fortune. He’s worked on two different pianos for us and we’re sticking with him. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Nathan repaired the pins and pin block and the piano is now tuned and sounds wonderful. He also adjusted other parts of the piano. He does provides excellent and very detailed work.

If your looking for a Piano Tuner/Maintainer look no farther. No seriously! Nathan showed up 15 minutes early for the appointment, who does that anymore? People who care about the job they have, that's who. He explained to me what he was going to do first, which was to look over our piano and tell me what needed to be fixed. Upon the completion of his inspection, he described everything that needed to be done, and proceeded to fix the issues that I agreed to. After about an hour of listening to the sounds of new student as they learn where the right keys are (he was tuning during this portion) this amazing sound emanated from the piano room. I am very thankful that we found The Augusta Music Box for this service and with certainty hire them again.

Nathan did a thorough cleaning and replacement of a tube that had molded. He then taught me about the proper additive to prevent future problems. I had the system in my piano for 20+ years and my previous technician (in Atlanta) never mentioned it.

He is very knowledgeable of piano tuning. He has been tuning our piano for years, and we plan to continue using him in the future. He has a wonderful personality and a lot of fun to be around. In fact, we arrange his visit around lunch time if possible so that my wife can prepare lunch for him or we take him out to a restaurant. He is a Christian, and appears to be a wonderful family man with his three young children. He and his wife are also very talented. He plays the piano and she sings. We invited them to perform in concert at our church, and they were well received. For a real treat, ask him to play the piano for you after he completes the tuning of your piano.

Nathan excels at his craft, is a musician himself, and above all conducts himself very professional yet personable. So glad we discovered him, won't use anybody else!

Nathan was very prompt and extremely professional - even tolerated our son yammering at him and our big dog jumping on him. I found him to be very knowledgeable and he didn't push us into any more than what was needed. I chose to have him replace the spacers, which was approximately half the cost.

First of all, Nathan Mills arrived exactly on time. We have had Mr. Mills tune our piano regularly since 2008. Every time he contacts us several weeks in advance and sets up an equitable time and date for him to come for the service. He has never cancelled his appointment nor has he ever been been late. He is totally professional, personable, and reliable. He meticulously tunes the piano and inspects it for issues and problems. An example is when we first purchased the piano, on his first visit he discovered a wooden component that was cracked. He dealt with the piano manufacturer for a warrantee replacement. He did everything for us. All we had to do was give him access to the piano to replace the part. The room where the piano is located has many knickknacks and other objects and the care he exhibits to protect the objects in our home as he works is obvious. I do not give idle flattery and do not use Angie's List to promote friends or people I happen to like. I am also very particular about getting what I pay for. That being said, Mr. Mills is TOP NOTCH in every respect in our business dealings and conducts his business in an exemplary manner. Mr. Mills' business also includes piano repair, moving systems, appraisals, sound reduction, sale of sheet music, grand regulations, and piano performance. Although we have only utilized his services in tuning, I would not hesitate a second to hire him for any of the other services provided by his company and would immediately recommend him to anyone I know. One side item. When he completes the tuning process, he plays the piano for a while. I can never wait for this mini-recital. He plays beautifully. So I feel I can also personally recommend him for any piano performance opportunities anyone may have.
