He completed the work quickly, but he won't pick up or deliver the furniture. The owner has an unpleasant disposition.

Owner is insane. Took my deposit check weeks prior and then said he never did. Made me go home for a copy of his business card where he had written "paid" $90 deposit on the back. Refused to take my second payment because it was an out of state check (after he had taken and deposited the first, also an out of state check) screamed and me and my designer to get the *expletive* out of his shop. Would never recommend him or support his livelihood.

SHOCKINGLY HORRID EXPERIENCE. THE OWNER OF THE STORE WAS INCREDIBLY RUDE FROM THE BEGINNING, PROBABLY BECAUSE THE PIECE WASN'T EXPENSIVE ENOUGH FOR HIM. WE WERE GIVEN A VERY LOW PRICE QUOTE OVER THE PHONE - WE ONLY WANTED A REPLACEMENT PIECE OF WOOD CUT TO FIT THE FRAME ON THE BACK OF THE HUTCH. WHEN IT WAS BROUGHT IN, HE TRIPLED THE PRICE. HE WAS ALSO VERY RUDE FOR NO APPARENT REASON. WE ASKED HIM TO STAIN THE PIECE SO THAT LOOKING INTO THE HUTCH, IT WOULD APPEAR TO MATCH. HE STAINED THE WRONG SIDE. WHEN WE ASKED HIM TO STAIN THE OTHER SIDE, HE DOUBLED THE PRICE AGAIN. AT THIS POINT WE WERE READY TO TAKE THE PIECE BACK AND STAIN IT OURSELVES, BUT WHEN WE WENT TO PAY FOR WORK DONE BY CREDIT CARD, WE WERE TOLD THAT THE OWNER HAD INSTRUCTED THAT WE COULD ONLY PAY BY CASH (NOT STORE POLICY - THEY USUALLY ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS). PROBABLY WORRIED WE WOULD FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY SINCE HE JACKED UP THE PRICE AND DID IT WRONG.

""Shockingly horrid experience"... Sounds like a tabloid headline drivel. The member changed the job 3 times, so we changed the price 3 times. If an independent woodworker agrees we finished the panel on the wrong side, I'll give him the job for free; if not, he can pay us twice the agreed price. He couldn't pay with a credit card because we haven't accepted them in 31 years. Poor baby needs grief counseling over credit card nix. Buck up, dry your eyes and get a life. Sympathies to the member's wife, the only real boss in the family. Hal Wicky, Owner, Woodpride, Inc."

GOOD WORK. SEEMED TO BE MORE INTERESTED IN HIGHER-END FURNITURE, BUT WILL BE HONEST ABOUT WHETHER A PIECE IS WORTH REPAIRING AND WILL DO A GOOD JOB ON PIECES THEY ACCEPT.

I ENJOYED THE SERVICE TREMENDOUSLY -- SOME OF THE WOOD HAD SPLIT AND HE WAS ABLE TO GET IT BACK TOGETHER. IT WAS EXPENSIVE THOUGH.

VERY CLOSE, HANDY, LOCATED IN BUCKHEAD- GREAT WORK DONE. I HAVE USED THEM FOR YEARS- I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN SATISFIED.
