John Kenna did a wonderful job of showing us examples of his work and then working with us to design the perfect water feature for our yard, which included a slope, fence, porch, patio, and other items he had to work around. His company built a beautiful waterfall, handled all the drainage and electrical issues (such as wiring an outside outlet for the lights and pump,) and installed all the stones in the waterfall as well as a beautiful stone path next to it. Water, Color, and Stone also built a mortarless retaining wall at the bottom of the waterfall to deal with a secondary slope in our yard. Finally, they installed a variety of plants around the waterfall, put down a large amount of mulch, and explained to us how to operate and care for the waterfall. My wife and I decided that this was one of the best decisions we ever made. We love listening to our new waterfall, sitting beside it in nice weather, etc. Our dogs and the local birds love it, too.

I found Water, Color and Stone through a referral from an association. Before John arrived, we had a yard with an ugly plastic pond with a whole in it and a muddy yard with some weed infested grass. John Kenna came out the next day and spoke with us about some ideas to make our yard beautiful. He suggested a real pond using Acquascape products and rocks around the pond. He also suggested a design using Belgard pavers for the driveway, along with pervious concrete to appease our Green tree-hugging nature. He sent us the quote, we liked it and he and his team arrived on schedule the following week. The pond was built in 2 days. John and his team turned an ugly mudpit into a beautiful backyard that I can't wait to use. I now have birds and lots of wildlife in the yard. Even my cats like to sit with me on a bench near the pond. John's design work was an A+, his personality is great, and he and his team acheived a true WOW from his clients. A true artist.
