My experience with Waldenour was beyond horrible. In the beginning, (during the sales phase), the owner of the company was extremely responsive, helpful, returned all my calls, was very informative, etc. He assured me it was no problem for these countertops to be manufactured and shipped within our time frame. As we later discovered from our installer (who spoke directly with the manufacturer), the manufacturer never promised the lead time the dealer claimed he did, which caused us to go significantly beyond our deadline, which resulted in staying in our rental house an additional month, not to mention a huge amount of anxiety and stress. Additionally, from my perspective, there was a total absence of customer service when things started to go wrong, which left me wondering what in the world I was paying him for. When I would inquire as to the whereabouts of the countertops he'd tell me he'd contact the manufacturer and let me know, which would then be followed by my having to run him down for an answer hours or days later. In order to get a response, I ended up having to bypass him and communicate directly with the manufacturer. On top of that, one week, he emailed me saying the countertops were going to ship on a specific day and that he needed payment. When I received a copy of the email, it plainly stated that the mfr was only in the final stages of sealing & that they would EITHER ship later that week or the next. Not on a specific day, as he had stated in writing (and then received payment for). Although he did ultimately pay for ground shipping, he bowed out of paying for any expedited shipping (which I requested he do since he'd promised us these countertops by a certain date), stating that he had no idea how the manufacturer's system worked and that he didn't have any control over that. So he had control enough to pay for basic shipping, but not expedited. Amazing!
