Installed the hvac system as the builder's contractor. The problem seems to stem from the fact that  both the house plan and the system in question were a first in this neighborhood, as subsequent homes were zoned differently to correct the zoning issues that we have in our home. The system fails to cool the upstairs unless the fan is set at such a high speed it becomes intolerable in the kitchen. Visitors to our home constantly are questioning what they are hearing when the system comes on in the kitchen.
They ran a test to check for air leakage which of course came back "within the level of tolerance". Unfortunately my concern is not with the amount of leakage from the house but with the fact that the system is zoned incorrectly to cool the upstairs without sounding like a heavy rain just started in the kitchen. At our expense we had a third party come in and check the system, noting several areas that needed to be corrected and how to proceed. They have refused to fix the problem based on the air leakage test leaving us with a year old house that needs approximately $2000 to correct an improperly installed hvac. Vis Visa obviously is aware of the zoning issues in our home as they made adjustments to homes built after ours.

We have a 1,700 square foot house that includes a bedroom in the attic and a small amount of unfinished attic behind kneewalls.   Since I can't include estimate amounts in this review, suffice it to say that the cost estimate (five figures) was far out of proportion to the amount of work to be done.  To give one example, the estimate included $175 to install an insulating blanket on our hot water heater; the actual cost of this blanket is less than $20.
We recently had another insulation company (highly rated on Angie's List) give us an estimate.  The cost was less than one-fifth of what Vis Viva wanted to charge for attic insulation.  This included insulating the unfinished attic to R-60 with fiberglass insulation, sealing all attic penetrations, sealing plumbing penetrations, and more (he threw in a water heater wrap for free when he heard Vis Viva wanted to charge us $175 for one).  And we're eligible for a GA Power rebate and federal tax credit.  The man who gave us this estimate told us that he was amazed that a company had found a way to change five figures for energy improvements on our house, particularly since most of them wouldn't make much of a difference in energy consumption and comfort.
