Just finished renovating 2 bathrooms and couldn't be happier with the results! Nico and his team did an amazing job, and exceeded expectations every step of the way. He was great to work with-- communication was excellent, and work was done on schedule. We ran into a few unforeseen glitches, and he was able to pivot quickly, customizing pieces to make them work perfectly. I wouldn't hesitate to use Varilko/Nico again for future projects!

I have been battling windows leaking for a couple of years. Several contractors have given me all different kind of opinions, and I have tried a couple without success. Nico and his crew discussed a systematic plan to locate the water intrusions. Then layout a plan to resolve the issue. They kept me very informed at every step. I am thrilled to say they were able to diagnose and resolve the water intrusion issues. THANK YOU. I really appreciate the transparency and honesty of these guys. Varilko Remodeling painted the exterior of our house. They did an expert job with skilled, friendly workers who were very neat and skilled. A few years ago Varilko Remodeling sanded the hardwood floors of our house and refinished them. Again, beautiful work! Varilko Remodeling renovated my daughter’s upstairs bathroom. She is thrilled and she am I.

I chose Varilko Remodeling as my trusted contractor for my kitchen remodeling project. I liked their "you design it, we build it" concept, their willingness to be flexible in how to quote the project estimate (with or without the finishing materials, which helped me to compare their quote "apples to apples" with others) as well as their willingness to adjust the project estimate based on our design conversations. They are organized in providing detailed and clear line item estimates for each aspect of the job--from demolition and preparation to the finishing touches of the job. Nico was willing to explain and discuss each item until I was comfortable with the scope of work in the project estimate. I requested a certificate of insurance and received it along with the contract from Kristina before agreeing to the contract and arranging for the start of the job. Once we agreed to hire Varilko for kitchen cabinet installation as well as plumbing. electrical, plastering and painting work, there was clarity on the construction process and clear communication throughout the construction phase. There were no unexplained gaps where I was left to wonder if my job remained a top priority. I was impressed with Nico's attention to the details of the project as he managed all of the various trades related to my job (carpentry, plaster/ painting, plumbing, electrical, etc.). During the course of construction, he was only a text or phone call away. When he told me that I could trust him to oversee all of the workers who would have access to my home-- as a result of the lockbox arrangement so that there would be full access to my home, garage, and crawlspace 5 days/ week during work hours regardless of whether I was home or not--I took him at his word. I was able to work collegially with Nico to coordinate his work with delivery of materials that I purchased for VR installation (e.g. cabinets, lighting, faucet, etc.) as well as coordinating VR work with others (e.g. measurement and installation of granite countertop). Because of his calm demeanor and knowledge of how this coordination should work, it made my job of working with him easier. During the course of construction, we identified items that could be omitted, saving me money. This enabled me to request some "extras"--which were reasonably priced-- and still stay within my projected budget. There were no "surprises" with the final invoice as a result of this two-way communication throughout. Trustworthiness is a crucial consideration in hiring a contractor. Varilko worked hard to earn my trust prior to me awarding them the job. Nico, Kristina, and all of the construction crew worked hard to maintain this trust throughout. I am happy with the beauty and quality of my kitchen remodel! I recommend Varilko Remodeling highly and will give them strong consideration for my next remodeling project.

If you are looking for a reliable, honest contractor we found one. We recently did a massive remodel project and Nico was amazing. He was always on time, answered all of our questions, and finished the job in much less time than any other quote we received. Highly recommend!

Very responsive and open to any feedback. Even though my project was on the smaller side (less than 10k) I didn’t feel like a less important customer. Will definitely be using this company again.

I have been battling water intrusion through windows for nearly two years. I have been through two other contractors who had various strategies but could not resolve the issues. Nico and his team but a systematic plan in place of water testing and working on one window at a time. The found the water source of each window leak. Some of the scalloped siding was incorrectly overlapping. They identified the defective siding, sometimes it was way away from the actual leaking window and replaced it. At every step they showed me exactly what was happening and how they would fix it - and they did. Nico and his guys are great. They are professional, thorough and most importantly honest. Oh, and Kristina is one of the most responsive and organized people I have worked with. She is a great point of contact.

Overall we are happy with the responsiveness of Nico and his team and they listened to our requests and corrected the things in time with our garage remodeling. But we expected more pro-activeness on their side in choosing higher quality materials with shelves and floor paint as the contract price is higher than the average. Not too happy with the floor paint quality. We don't mind hiring them again and I didn't want to pick No option with rehiring question on Angi.

Very well! Nico came by and gave us an estimate to send to the damaging television company! They were there on time and work was done that day!

They were extremely professional and paid attention to every detail. We now have a beautiful deck! They are very neat while working and even swept up afterwards! Will use again.

It was the most pleasant  and stressless renovation I've ever experienced! Nico was such a joy to work with from the get go. Very thorough with all details and also had great suggestions that turned out amazing…like my tile for the floor and wall. His crew were also very professional and super efficient with their time…they did a fabulous job. I would totally hire Nico again and recommend him to my friends.
