In 2009 we had this company remove the carpeting from our second story and install prefinished hardwood floors.  We had water damage to our home last spring and needed portions of the floor replaced.  It took several phone calls to the company for a response and John Horton's solution was to replaced the all the hardwoods rather than try to match the existing non-damaged floors.  He advised us that the prefinished flooring we had installed was no longer manufactured, but we were able to find the product on our own.  We then waited several months for Mr. Horton to find the time to install the flooring.  I finally called him last week and he told me that he would be out the following Monday.  I called him on the day he was supposed to repair the flooring and he told me he had gotten me confused with another client. I contacted another company who repaired the floor the next day.  It was noted by this company, as well as by another company who evaluated the project, that Underfoot designs had installed the flooring over particle board instead of plywood, which is recommended.

This store is just getting started and I had a good recommendation from someone. They were very nice and showed me lots of samples and let me take a lot of samples home. They came out to measure and give me an estimate. I was called about a short delay and they worked out times with me. The only problem was a flaw in the carpet itself, but they were very good about getting the manufacturer to accept a claim (I only had to be here to let him see it) and then they came back quickly to relay new carpet. It looks like a very good job. I will use them again. They have a beautiful selection and also make rugs from carpeting that look gorgeous.
